"Back to the Unified Church"I recently started a thread about the pros and cons of having a single, unified, worldwide church, as opposed to the many denominations we currently have. Certainly, when we pass onto the resurrection, we will have a single, unified, worldwide church.
I think that's the problem - sometimes the vainest people are able to maneuver themselves into positions of leadership.
Yes, obey the commandments and avoid the pit.
Well, yes.Not if Yahweh's directions are followed in the assembly.
(which obviously is rare, almost unheard of)
I do, too, but barbecue sauce normally is high in sodium.I like bbq hamburgers and bbq chicken.

A large tree attract birds, who end up nesting high in its branches. The birds are not part of the tree, but build their nest egg there and insists the tree caters to their whims. They rule with impunity, unwilling to accept any scrutiny. And tinker with doctrine to maintain their institution control, taking away Christ's Lordship and replacing it with their own.I recently started a thread about the pros and cons of having a single, unified, worldwide church, as opposed to the many denominations we currently have. But for the time being, I would suggest that, people being the way they are, a single, unified, worldwide church's objectives would not fully align with the Lord's objectives, and for that reason, the Lord would rather there be denominations. I think the Tower of Babel is suggestive of this.

No.There's no indication in Scripture that the 'Church' will be in the life after this life.
Quite the opposite, thankfully - no 'Church' after this life.
Thankfully, due to , well, look around.... do you see people obedient to Yahweh ? People who refuse to harm another person ? People who have not one iota of greed in their life ? People in whom there is not one lie ?

Observing it.A single, world wide church which is institutionally unified in this current sinful age would certainly be frightening.
What makes people think that the church is not unified?
Observing it.
Why would anyone think that the church is unified ?A single, world wide church which is institutionally unified in this current sinful age would certainly be frightening.

Because the Bible says it is.
