please do not take offense from this.
In the beginning there were many gods who lived in heaven. They were as they wished to be and lived in a manner that pleased them. They had many who served them amongst the ranks of angels and giants and other creatures. Sometimes the gods would have children who had no power, these were called humans, and sometimes the servants would have children. To put these lesser beings far away from them, the gods created a giant explosion in the middle of nothing and created a plane of existence for them. Before the humans were put to earth, there were many great and terrible monsters who roamed the lands an seas. The gods sent many catastrophes so that the world would be safe for the humans. Fearing the different half breeds would band together, they were separated and places at the far reaches of distant universes. Placing the humans on one of the new planets then placed a young god named, Tjaad; the people watcher, to watch over them. Being a young god, Tjaad, was resentful of the humans, the lesser being he was made to guard. He sent difficulties to the humans of earth, and mocked them in their failure. Sometimes other gods would come and visit the earth, this caused the humans to worship many gods and not just Tjaad. For a long time Tjaad to little interest in the happenings of earth, leaving them for long periods of time in darkness and danger. Slowly the humans became less animal like and began to learn things, to build things. Somehow this fascinated the god, and he watched them closely. On occasion he would reach down and aide them here or there, watching intently as they praised his unseen presence. Them the humans began to fight over petty things, things there were no uses for and things there was more than enough of for everyone. Tjaad became angry again and let darkness fall upon the humans of earth, and there was unrest and death. Floods, earthquakes and Tjaad brought monsters from the other half breeds down to earth. Giants and angels, daemons and beasts who changed their forms. He let monsters who creped in the dark, who sucked the very life from others and walked like the dead, monsters with little power to curse them. He brought down creatures half beast and half human, and he let them go amongst the warring people. The monsters scattered to the four corners and upon the winds, chasing people and becoming nightmares. Tjaad left the earth to its darkness for a long time, but when he returned he was horrified by what had transpired. So again he reached down his hands and gave strength to the humans to over come these monsters. There were many bitter battles and hard won wars, before the few remaining monsters vanished into the night, become nothing more than legends and myths to be passed along the generations. A peace settled upon the earth, and the humans began to grow again. Pleased by their resilience, Tjaad went to the other gods and requested that no similar action ever be carried out upon the half-breeds ever again. The other gods laughed at him and sent him back to his human charges. Hurts Tjaad became enraged when he found his humans mimicking the crude and vulgar actions of the gods. In a fit of rage that would last many long decades and centuries, he places his hand upon the people and gave them desire to conquer all others and enslave them. War broke out amongst the humans, as brother turned upon brother, father against son, wife against husband. There was chaos and suffering, Tjaad send floods to wipe out peoples and fires to scar the lands. One desert people, who worshiped many gods began to build a large empire while across the sea to great powers fought each other. Yet even further west beyond great mountains, another people battled endless amongst its warlords. And even further west than that across the largest ocean, small tribes skirmished lightly but over food and holy places. Tjaad watched them all, from the blood thirsty clans of the world, fighting for nothing more than desire. After many generations Tjaad began to soften again for his humans and reached down his hands, touching gentle the people, and his favored people, who worshipped only him above all other gods. He lead them out of slavery and guided them to a promised land, only to have them anger him again. He swore that as his favored people they would be given great power amongst the humans but they would also pay the highest price. He swore that for every good thing he gave them there would be a tenfold price to pay. Again his anger subsided and he found peace as he allowed his people to conquer the promised land, where they built him a great temple. He watched the wars become minor battles as shows of strength, but the humans had tasted blood and there would never be true peace again. When Tjaad saw this he wept bitterly, and filled the oceans with salty tears. Now Tjaad had four servants who were his favored amongst all those under him, Tariq, morning star, Zasha, peoples defender, Nuncio, the messenger, and Cana, beloved. It was well known Cana was his favored, but the other angels were not resentful, it was not their nature to be so. Because he himself could not speak to the humans, he would send his angels to help them and to carry out his words. There came a time when Tjaad decided it was time to start over for his humans, and he made a choice. Gathering all the angels, and giants, and daemons, and beasts to him, he declared war upon all the other gods. There was a great uprising and a terrible battle that went on for nearly a century, there were many dead, and when the last of the gods fell, there was silence. Tjaad stood in the battle field, surrounded by the dead and dying beings and wept again. His tears trickled through heaven and settled into the night sky becoming stars, and stars become galaxies, and galaxies gave birth to uncountable solar systems into eternity. With no more gods to guard the gates of heaven and the pit of hell, Tjaad called his favored angels to him. Taking his beloved he gave Cana, with a heavy heart, the task of guarding the damned souls. He knew that is beloved was the strongest of all his angels and this heavy task could not be given to just anyone. Then he took Tariq and gave him the honored task of guarding the gates of heaven with his light. Next he took Nuncio and gave him a task that had never been done before. He sent Nuncio to earth, to find a young woman, free of mortal sins and of his favored peoples. Nuncio was to give her a special gift, a promise and apology of forgiveness to all humans on earth. It would forgive the sins of the fallen gods they had fallen prey to, and a promise that there was a new beginning. Tjaads son to the humans so that the love he had gathered for them sense the beginning. Nuncio found the honored one, Mutia, amongst Tjaads favored people, she was due to be married to an honorable man also of the favored people. Nuncio gave the woman a baby to born after the wedding, who would be this promise. Tjaad took his is defender of people, Zasha and gave him the task of watching over the earth from the earth, while Tjaad watched from heaven. Zasha, laid aside his wings, and his power, and descended to earth, to wander its surface in search of those to defend. When Nuncio returned from his task, he was given another, it would be he who would carry the word of Tjaad, to the people so that they may know the love he felt for them. He would also be their to bring about miracles to the humans. Tjaad watched his son, named Lerato, song of my soul, grow from a babe to a man, where he sent Nuncio to him. Nuncio told him of his true father, and of his power, and of his purpose, he awake the truth inside Lerato. Lerato first became angry and raged a mountain into a desert valley. Then he began to weep, and his tears filled the valley making it a river. Then Lerato found a love for the people in his heart and his soul and he found peace and a drive to save them. Lerato went to his wife and small children, he told them of his new purpose and what he must do. They wept together because he could not take them with him. He sent them to his brothers home, to be cared for. His mother, wringing her hands in fear watched her eldest son depart for his own death. Tjaad sent Zasha to his son, to lend support and defend him until the time they were to part. Lerato set about to find the last of the god children half breeds of earth, there were only eleven left. Having gathered the eleven and Zasha, the troop of thirteen made their way to greet the people. They walked long and hard, the went far and wide. The spoke to many people and listened to many more. They healed some, opened the eyes of multitudes, the ears of thousands, the untied the tongues of others. Enemies gathered in the shadows, gathering lies and false witnesses, paying off those who did not know, and stealing from those who did. Zasha knew they were there as did them all, but it was not time for them yet so they were unafraid. There were many who hid their faces when they came by, afraid of the light that came from them. Many hid from the truth because then they would have to face themselves for their actions. Many hid from forgiveness unsure of what it would mean. Yet many flocked to see this man who could do such a thing as forgive. Some came as spectators, others in true devotion but all were touched by his love. He was gentle as a feather with those who were weak, but he was harder than rock to those who did wrongs and gave no sorrow for it. For one with such power, he walked with the poor, he made them his equal, and his friend. He gave all he had and took no more than he was in need of. Those who walked with him showed great generosity and tender care for all people, even those who sought their downfall. Like a warm breeze in the cool night or a cooling one of the hot sun, they would come to a place. When they left there was something never before known. Leratos followers were:
-Jaydon, the one who God heard;
-Ferdinand, the courageous one;
-Iago, the supplanter (one who illegally holds the place of another);
-Vashon, merciful one;
-Pippa, a lover of horses;
-Barth, Tolmais son;
-Yamal, a twin;
-Hovan, a gift;
-Coby, the claim jumper;
-Peers, the rock;
-Tolly, praise;
-Takoda, friend to everyone.
Like his father Lerato he had his favorites as well. Takoda and Jaydon were never far from their teacher.
