Sorry for asking this as I'm suffering from 'first-time-mom-silly-questions' syndrome.
Has anyone else heard that nursing last thing at night can contribute to tooth decay in babies?
The background to this question stems from my health visitor who said that when a baby breaks their first tooth a mother must get them out of the habit of getting drowsy whilst nursing as the milk remaining in the mouth could cause tooth decay.
If this is true, can someone suggest how long prior to a baby's bedtime do they have their last feed? And how do you maintain dental hygiene in a 6+ month old?
I promise, no more silly questions after this!
