CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I made it out of granny squares and sewed them together in larger squares. I then crocheted the squares together. It really is quite simple to make.

Very nice job. I really like the pattern and colors. I'm kind of new to crocheting and haven't quite grasped being able to read and follow a pattern yet. I know how to chain, sc, dc, & tc. So I'm pretty much stuck just making afghans and scarves that have those stitches straight across. Hopefully I'll get the hang of reading patterns soon so I can make some things for my little boy (he's 13 months old & the reason I started crocheting)

I hope you can make some stuff for your son soon. I tha blanket was really easy, just ganny squares. I made the pattern my self. If you have any questions about crocheting feel free to ask.

Keep what ya got...by giving it all away
I'm working on a baby's blanket too...bought a load of 'recycled' wool from my local charity shop - think it's 2-ply. It's very fine anyway. Should be ready in time for my six-year-old to get married and have babies!
Not wishing her life away, not at all...it's just going to take me a long time - in between other projects!
