  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Welp... you won't wanna stand there when they give em th shots I can tell you that, I wanted to knock that gals head plumb off er shoulders after makin my baby cry like that. Think I was given off some vibe er sumthin cause th gal jes kept sayin how sorry she was hehe

One thin that was jes an absoulte must for us an Kat was bout 45 mins er so before th shots we'd give er some baby tylenol (sp) an that helped er through th res of th day an we'd give er a mite more come bed time, cause alot of em shots will make em feel sick, there vacines an what not an so they are infectin your child wit th illness, so it's alot like if you've ever gotten one em flu shots, make you feel bit bad for a day er so. Kat would try an run a low grade fever after em shots an we started usin that baby stuff an took care of thins straight aways. Jes helped wit cranky baby an what not.

There may be redness and tenderness around the shot area, and possibly a low grade fever. We did like A2J, and would give our children pain relieve before that shot. She may be a little fussy or tired for a day or two. They should explain the side effects to you before giving the vaccine, if not I would ask.

Ditto on the baby tylenol! lol Give 1/2 hour or so before your appointment, then on schedule afterwards (4-6 hours or whatever). May be red & tender at the site of the shot, baby may be fussy, feverish, or just seem not him/herself.

Be sure to ask your pediatrician if they don't offer the information about any adverse side effects you should be on the lookout for that could be an indication of something more serious, like an allergic reaction or something.

About 4 hours after my son's shots (hes had three now and is 7 months) he lays on his back and wont roll over, I guess because his legs are sore from the shots. Baby tylenol is good. I didnt notice anything in particular but they give you sheets on what you could see happen with your baby

Okay, well I go with baby motrin, the bubble gum kind. The kids tend to take that better than tylenol, and I am so scared of liver failure with overdosing the tylenol. OK not to scare you anymore, sorry.

The best place that I had my kid's shots done at, the nurse's aid held my baby while the nurse gave the shots. (The nurse was a huge huge Jamaican man, about 6 ft 4 or so). He then picked up my son and played with him a bit, which looked kinda cool, cause I swear he could hold my son in his one hand, not really but close. Then, after my son was calm he handed him to me to nurse.

Definately Motrin or Tylenol about an hour before and every 4 to 6 hours after for a couple days. Also, I always moved their legs around as soon as possible, usually while nursing. This loosens up the stuff when I get shots, so I hope it helps them. They should give you a sheet of info, on normal reactions, moderate reactions, and severe reactions and what to do in the event of any of them.
