My DH and I had a serious misunderstanding somewhere along the line that made me come to a wrong conclusion. I thought he didn't see a time in our future when it would be viable to have a second child, and had resigned myself to (what I thought was) this fact. I was even going to ask what he thought of making contraception a permanent, thought-free thing, ie. probably something surgical. Am I glad I didn't get to ask!
During this past week, DH was away for 3 nights on family business. When he returned, we naturally became intimate. It was now that he told me that he would like to have a second child. After looking at him like he was an alien
, we talked about for the rest of the day about this. We eventually reached the conclusion (after fervent prayer and asking for a definitive sign from God) that the timing is right.
After resigning myself to never having another child, I am getting more excited by the day that this massive misunderstanding between DH and I came to light, and that I had it all wrong.
I just wanted to share this, and add that we're officially trying to conceive (TTC) Baby #2!
