And you supposedly think the Ecumenical Councils were just a walk in the part? No debates? No; with all due respect, the orthodoxy of Christianity went through many debates, and to suggest otherwise is to slap the faces of all who struggled.

As for C. S. Lewis, I suggest you read up on it yourself.

Furthermore, in the end, we are still sinners, either way you look at it. Sin is a life long struggle; do you think God doesn't know this? We are, in a sense, always unrepentent for we continue to make the same mistakes over and over again. But what God knows is that, in our struggle and in our seeking God's aid, we can achieve His acknowledgement through our trials, seeking Him.

All die in sin, but those who die in sin who've honestly struggled through their lives with their sin and struggled to seek God and then follow His example shall be rewarded.

I didn't say there have been no debates. I said: The result of a debate doesn't define the truth.

You are right that we struggle with sin and have to seek God's aid, through which we are given his acknowledgement. Sin is not following His example (God's command, Jesus' example) - so since we die sinners, we die not having followed this example. We're not rewarded for following any example, as if we earned salvation, but as a matter of grace.
