yes! nothing better than a public holiday, imagine being able to work two days and have a day break in all weeks.

seriously, people are overworked these days!

Wish I had the day off :) but seriously I get time + ½ so I shouldn’t complain

Just think, if everyone worked 9.5 hours a day 4 days a week, then it would all be fixed... you could do sliding shifts so half work mon-thur and the other half work tuesday-fri... or something... I dunno...

Public holidays are pretty much like every other day for students/ex students... :p except shops aren't open and the bus doesn't run :p

not really, 9 1/2 each day, meaning.. around 1 hour extra only makes up to 4 hours, which is less than a day's work.

yeah, when i was still doing full time uni. Public holiday was an inconvenience! (because shops closed) but now, i understand why holiday is so important ...

and i learn to enjoy short break, even if it's a day it's great!

which isn't necessarily a good thing..

I seriously think it should be 'Australia Week'. I mean that's the Australian way! (well that's my excuse anyway!)

and why not? :D

I was pretty surprised how many shops were open in Penrith Plaza on Wednesday - about 90% or so, I'd say. And an Australia week, whilst pretty unlikely, would be ace!! ;)

Ah, alrighty!! I used to be one of the first people at work selected to work public holiday shifts, but now I think that I've outgrown myself and cost too much to have working on double time and a half days. But it's good having the time off now to spend with friends and just catching up on rest and relaxation, and fitting in some housework as well :)

Hehehe...I've had plenty of time for housework this week since my parents are on a holiday for the week. Gotta do some lawnmowing tomorrow afternoon, but I've tried to make sure that the dirty clothes are returned to a clean state and that the house is generally tidy :)

Well I had two days off this week - Rostered Days Off are COOL! :D Don't mind missing out on two hours a pay a week, to get this day off once a month...

Americans seemed to enjoy Australia Week - even Steve Irwin got involved...

Sasch -> who now agrees without a shadow of a doubt that all the crazies go to Vegas! ;)

that's right Kristian! else your parents will scream when they get back.. that's what my mum does anyway. But then, no matter how hard we (me and bro) clean it, she still finds the house dirty. And no matter how much we tell her that a house is supposed to be a bit messy (it is a home after all), she thinks otherwise.

to Sascha, absolutely.

if we had an official Australia Week (ok, since it can't happen out there) on CF, what would we be.. uh, doing, lozzie?
