Ativan withdrawl and urology update.

So about 5 days ago my wife realized that she forgot to refill my ativan and I had to go without it cold turkey. I slept the first night like a baby as if I hadn't missed a dose at all so stupidly I told my wife not to get it refilled at all without talking to my doctor first. An extremely stupid move. Fast forward to yesterday and I had AWFULL withdrawl symptoms. All of a sudden I felt really cold. To the point of going hypothermic cold. It felt like it was 40 degrees in the house and it was 80+ degrees in the house and over 90 degrees outside and the AC wasnt on. So I went off of my computer and went on the couch and bundled up with blankets to try to keep warm. And messaged my wife on discord right away. She luckily at the time had her phone on her and was getting off of work so she was able to message me right away and get home. When she got home she checked my temperature and it was normal so there was no explaining why I was suddenly cold. So I looked up whether or not it was possibly ativan withdrawl and yup. It only got much worse after that and basically its been a fun 24 hours since then.

We called the crisis center in our home town this morning because we wanted to know what emergency symptoms to look for before going to the emergency room for because I was pretty bad yesterday. The nurse at the crisis center basically said if I get any worse today to go to the er immediately because I've been on ativan for over 5 years and I just stopped completely and the risk for seizures was quite high. Especially when i was so cold yesterday. So she actually talked to the doctor on call at the crisis center and got me 7 days worth of ativan and she had it rushed at my pharmacy and they filled it within 20 minutes and we picked it up and im starting to feel a little better now that I have some ativan in my system. My headaches are mostly all gone, the anxiety is mostly gone, the sweating gone, the coldness went away yesterday thank God but yeah im starting to feel a lot better already.

As for my urology problem I have an update. I get the catheter out tomorrow morning and my urologist thinks he may have found the problem. one of my medicines cause kidney stones so he thinks he might find some kidney stones on the ultrasound that theyre doing on Friday. Ill let everyone know. He's going over the results on the 27th but im sure if they find kidney stones they will tell me on Friday.

Anyway, given everything thats been going on lately, keep me in your prayers please id appreciate it. Im sorry so many things keep happening. Its ridiculous how many things have been happening lately...

I got 7 days of it from the crisis center doctor so I have some until my psychiatrist can refill it and figure out how he wants to react to this withdrawl. He and I both want me to be off of ativan eventually and we were planning on reducing it next week but now that I withdawled he might want to reduce me later on. Don't know got to see what he says tomorrow because he has no idea I had any withdrawl symptoms.

So they tested me to make sure I was good to go with no catheter and they filled me with solution to see if i could pee out what they put into me and after a few tries I was able to pee out everything they put into me so I am now catheter free! When they took it off it didnt hurt at all! I've been to the bathroom three times since they removed the catheter and everytime was pain free and smooth so I think im good to go now! So thats one problem hopefully taken care of! We'll see what the ultrasound says on Friday and what the doctor says on the 27th.

As for the ativan I just took my second dose. Last night was a long night so hopefully tonight will go a little better.
