To mock, ridicule, blaspheme, insult, and just generally disrupt.
Do explain, how is it disruptive to post in a section where we are welcomed, and not in other sections where we are not permitted to post at all?
Also, explain how it is blasphemy for someone of a differing world view to express those views? It would be blasphemy for YOU to speak against God, but not for me who doesn't believe in magic. Indeed, it is ironic that the constitution of your Country protects this right, as is also the case in mine.
To mock? Calling stupid things stupid is not mockery, it is description. And nobody cares if your delicate sense of self-entitlement is offended every time someone fails to use the hushed and reverent tones of subjugation when pointing out your very real failings.
With many exceptions on this very forum, who I respect, I nonetheless have a far greater understanding and appreciation for The Bible even as a secular humanist, than a great many so-called Christians. You among them.
You say these things while yourself posting on a thread addressed to atheists. Tell me, is it a requirement of your Church's doctrine to be a hypocrite, or did Jesus set this as an example to be followed in your opinion?
You sir, are weak. Your position so lacking in inherent strength that you must find another kind entirely to work for you. You are so threatened by a differing opinion that you would sooner see differing opinions silenced and lose the right of free thinking and freedom of expression, than see it investigated and considered in a desire for ACTUAL, OBJECTIVE truth, whatever that may be.
Is the God you claim to believe-in so desperately in need of your unthinking, animistic snarling? Or is it in fact merely your own personal and entirely worldly, human lust for social standing and power over others within your tribe that you protect?
You remind me of the playground bully who, having pushed over another child, feigns crying and runs to tell tales to teacher first, in the hope of not being found-out. An object of disdain.
Choose. You cannot be both right and self-righteous. As I believe Jesus himself is said to have demonstrated at no minor personal cost for which you owe him by your own creed. There's a good book about that. You should try reading it some time and when you're done, read it again. And again. Until you actually learn something.
If you claim to have read it, then it must be for your own ends that you willfully ignore the following, making you not only a crappy person but an abject failure as a Christian.
James 1:22
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
Proverbs 18:15-24
An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
A man's gift makes room for him and brings him before the great.
The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him.
Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Ephesians 4:18
They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.
Matthew 7:21-23
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
Titus 1:16
They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.
Romans 2:1-5
Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge,
practice the very same things.
We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things.
Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God?
Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?
But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God's righteous judgment will be revealed.
1 John 2:4
Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him,
Proverbs 26:23-26
Like the glaze covering an earthen vessel are fervent lips with an evil heart.
Whoever hates disguises himself with his lips and harbors deceit in his heart; when he speaks graciously, believe him not, for there are seven abominations in his heart;
though his hatred be covered with deception, his wickedness will be exposed in the assembly.
James 1:26
If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless.
Matthew 7:5
You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
Matthew 6:1
“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven
1 John 4:20
If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.
1 John 3:15
Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
Ephesians 4:29
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
Leviticus 19:17
You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him
Of course, you won't have actually read the verse I posted... that would be too much like someone who actually cares what The Bible has to offer.
Now, be a good fellow and crawl back under your bridge where trolls belong. mmmk?
