At what age did you first get married?

Committed Christians seem to get married younger then average.

That said my I got married at age 27 years 8 months and 11 days.*

My wife got married at age 27 years 4 months and 2 days.

*Age may be +/- a few days depending on how you define a month. (30 or 31 days) To be exact I was 27 years and 254 days old. She was 27 years and 123 days old.*

I had just turned 28. My birthday is two days before our anniversary. That's a really good reminder -- not that I need it, but it's like an alarm clock: it's nice to know it's there, just in case.

My wife is older than I am (I'm not going to post her age, and a gentleman (or lady) doesn't ask). We weren't from the same social circles, so we didn't know many people in common. Of friends my age*, I'd say most of them were already married, though a few were not (and still are not). I believe all of her friends (her age) were married, already.

* - I specify friends "my age" because I was in grad school up through most of my 27th year, but most of my friends there were undergrads, and none of them were married.

I'll second that VA.

It's encouraging to me that there are so many Christians who are really after God's heart and who don't take the easy way out in marriage and "upgrade to a newer and better model" when conflict arises (and it always does). When people stay committed, it is a real opportunity for character growth and maturity.
