#2-Anyone on staff should be on staff to fulfill that statement.
If i went to an Atheist board who's mission statement was "Uniting All Atheists as One" and I saw their were Christians on staff, I would ask the same question- WHY??
No it's not. No Christian ministry would allow an atheist into their leadership unless it had caved into relativism entirely and ceased promoting an actual alternative world view.
love ya sparklecatMy intention was to say that it wasn't right to do so.![]()
I didn't say it was a Church, I said it was a ministry. A bit different, but same concept.Again, CF is not a church. Members may gather together, and those gatherings may be a church as defined in Scripture, but CF, the site is not. The atheists are not participating in the church aspects of this site, but are participating in the administrative aspects. There is a difference. It is clear to me, but I simply cannot see how to make that difference clear to others.
I have seen atheists, Glass*Soul, for one, work so diligently, bend over backwards to please everyone, and even willing to add in the word "blasphemy" even though her personal views were against it. Her contributions alone should be enough to make the distinction clear in the minds of everyone.

My concern is biblically that CF should run without non-Christian's involvement of the administration. For a long time, I am for the non-Christians to moderate the non-Christian sections however, based on some exteme's attittude, I am thinking twice.
IMO what it boils down to is this:
#1-CF's statement is "Uniting All Christians as One Body".
#2-Anyone on staff should be on staff to fulfill that statement.
#3-non-Christians do not (for obvious reasons) agree with CF's mission statement thus they cant honestly work to fulfill it as they are not Christians.

I reiterate the question I've already reiterated about 4 times in this thread.
What is the name and stated purpose of this site again?
ok now we agree!sparklecat ROCKS as mod!![]()
Ultimately, if someone is sincerely open and searching, the Holy Spirit will guide them and convert them, moderators do not need to proslytize because it's the Holy Spirit's job to do that.
Now, if we can only get Erwin to say that CF isn't a ministry, I'll agree with you 100%.Sounds like a good argument for keeping moderation and ministry formally separate. If mods have no need to proselytize in an official capacity, making it clear that their duties are janitorial, not ministerial, ought to remove that temptation.

ANd for those who have signed on to the first premise and contributed to the financial well-being of what was advertised to us as what you've indicated, can we make a case to have our money refunded? If the premise of this site were changed, it would be exemplary of a classic bait and switch.Well, the name is "Christian Forums", which I have consistently understood to mean that it is a forum with a focus on Christianity and related topics, i.e. for both Christians and those with an interest in Christianity. As a byproduct of that, the participants create a community.
Perhaps the slogan could be changed. I wouldn't object to that. "A place for all interested in Christianity" strikes me as a way to include everyone, both believers and non-believers. No-one would be excluded or marginalised that way.
I don't understand the "mod note" part, but I'm absolutely sure that only an idiot would cast a ballot given only those two options.
