It is, and always has been. It's gone through at least three different owners since I first registered here in 2008. Erwin, @Pauler and now @Rex . The site is hosted somewhere in Los Angeles (though I don't remember the name of the company who provides the service).

According to the link I provided above, the top five contributors to the site's web traffic (in order from most to least) are:

1. United States
2. Australia
3. India
4. Nigeria
5. Philippines

So, you can see why the prevailing worldviews and assumptions to be American-centric.

That doesn't mean we dislike contributions from others. Quite the opposite in fact. I enjoy input from anybody regardless of where they are from, so long as it's intelligent input.

All true.

I wonder what the statistics would be by denom, just out of interest.

On this site, there seems to be lots of catholics. Like I would ordinarily not meet any face to face, cos they keep to themselves. I only have one catholic friend that I know from work. Well when I meet people who are catholic here, I dont know what to say, cos..well, we be talking about the bible and then they have some strange church doctrine i had no idea about and im like what???

They have their own schools, and own versions of the bible, and own churches that exclude non catholics. Which is fine, they can believe what they like or brought up as. But I find it very hard to discuss scripture with them, to he honest. I know we all meant to be christians, but thats something thats kind of been an issue here.
