Do AOG churches believe that you have to speak in tongues to be saved?

From what I understand no not to be saved but I believe they say that in order to have the baptism of the Holy Spirit the speaking of tongues is a necessary sign of the baptism, yet not necessarily at the time of the baptism.

No, they don't. Actually, I believe the only ones who really believe that anymore is some, not all, UPC, and maybe a handful of Apostolic churches.

I go to an AOG school, They do not teach that you have to speak tounges to be saved, but it plays a role during worship.

No they don't. They do believe as most Pentecostals that the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is the Spirit without measure, and the initial evidence of that Baptism is speaking in tongues. Does one need the Spirit wihtout measure to be Born Again? Nope. But why not have it?

What about their belief of Christians of other denominations are they saved in AOG's eyes? (i.e. Baptist, Catholics, Orthodox, etc.. )

I personally believe that it doesn't matter what denomination you belong to..

I am asking because I'm thinking of joining an AOG church.

No. Want to add that speaking in tounges during worship is different than speaking in tounges as evidence as the initial baptism of the Holy Spirit.

WOw that's pretty cool. He's a great Pastor. I love the fact he's not afraid to share the pulpit. We get some awsome guest speakers because of that.

Yes we believe that every born again Christian is saved, whether they are
Baptist, Catholic, Episcopalian, or whatever. As long as they are born again through the blood of Jesus Christ, the son of the living God, and the second in Trinity.
