Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Figures :p Which summer was it? I might remember the weather.
I can't remember exactly now. I think it was just after my 14th birthday.. when my grandmother came with us, so it would have been 2004 or maybe the year before. I don't know now :p

How is life treating you my friend?

Truthfully? At the moment not too great. It has been a very stressful few weeks, and I have exams next week as well so it doesn't seem things are going to calm down for a while yet :) But I will get through it!
How are you?

What is your favorite place you have ever traveled to and why?
Favourite? Now that is hard. Probably Fiji, although it was a few years ago now. I am not sure why I enjoyed it so much.. probably because it was something we did as a family, which doesn't happen very much.

Are your vacations done yet?
Still doing exams :( Last one is tomorrow though!! :D
Then have another 4 weeks of school before holidays :(

Wow - heavensangel, those are some interesting questions.

◘ If you could choose just one charity worldwide to donate money to, which one would you choose and why?
Probably Salvation Army. I have already done a lot of work with them (not financially though) and they do a lot of great work for the poor and needy in Australia. Or if it was an international charity it would probably be HOPE worldwide.
○ How does your faith instruct your daily life?
Faith is a big part of my life. It controls pretty much everything I do. I try to let God be in control of my life as much as possible so need to rely on my faith.
◘ If you were a book, what genre would you be and why do you think so?

My life as a book? Now that would probably be quite strange and would probably not make sense to anyone else.. :p Probably anything from a drama to a comedy depending on my mood and the day we are talking about ;)
○ Do you appreciate what you have or do you complain about what you don't have?

I do try to focus and appreciate on what I have - I am very lucky in many ways. However, I do at times complain about things I don't have, but I think all people do that :)

◘ If you could have known someone as a child that you know now, who would it be and why?

Definitely Jesus, or some of the friends I have now. Probably would have changed a lot of things if I had the friends that I do now back then - especially if I had known one of my church leaders when I was younger. She is now like my mum and it would have been good to be able to talk to her and know her earlier.

If you won $1,000,000 what would you do with it?

Probably use part of it to move out. The rest would probably be used to live on or to donate to charities etc.

What are your thoughts on the state of public schools?
In Australia our public school system is not too bad. I am attending a public High School and have had no major issues with it.

What are your thoughts on private schools?

In my area, the private schools are not that different to the public schools, especially in the High Schools. A lot of my friends have actually transferred over from private schools in their Senior years because the private schools don't offer the same amount of opportunities and subject choice that the public system offers.

What are you thoughts on homeschooling?

I can see the good and bad of homeschooling, however I know that it is not something that I would want to do. it is good for some people though.

What are your three main sources of news? (be specific, don't say tv - say what network, don't say newspaper - say what newspaper, don't say internet - say what site....)
Prime 6pm News (TV)
The Daily Telegraph (newspaper)
MSNBC (website) - although not as much as it covers US news and not a lot of Australian news

How was your Labor Day?
Our Labor day is at a different time to America. We don't have the Labor day holiday until the first Monday of October (so it will be the 1st October this year).
I can tell you now though that it will be good. For that weekend I am at a 4 day Christian music festival with some of my friends.. should be a lot of fun :)

Who taught you the most painful lesson you’ve ever learned in life? What was it?

Probably my parents. They taught me how words can affect people and the damage they can do. People always say that words don't have the ability to harm people in the same way that physical injury can, which is true - but they can still cause damage, just in a different way.
Although, from that lesson I also found out a lot about the importance of relying on God and how He and other people people around me can be trusted, and that they are supportive. They have helped me to learn to trust and learn that losing a relationship is not the end.
(and I apologise if this makes no sense. A lot of these probably don't )
Is a great teacher still great if he or she is not willing to improve?
No-one can be great unless willing to improve
If you could raise your IQ by 50 points but in so doing had to drop your height by 1 foot, would you do it?
No, I don't think I would.
What is the most pressing problem to be solved in the world today? Why?
I am really not sure on that one.
If you could have a stranger come up to you and whisper anything into your ear, what would you want them to say?
Well, if a stranger did that I probably wouldn't hear what they were saying.. would be quite scared and probably be wondering why they were whispering :p
If they did though, I would hope it was something very random - possibly about penguins. At least then I could justify being scared of them.

What impact do you want to leave on the world?
A positive one I hope ;)
How short would your life have to be for you to start living different today?
I probably wouldn't change much anyway. But i think we all do need to remember that life is short and can be taken at almost any moment so to make the most of opportunities.
Give an example of when a negative experience has had a positive outcome in your life.
Probably a relationship I had. It caused a lot of hurt for me, but it also helped me to come back to God and rely on him to help get me through it.
Do you dislike or like people who are proud of themselves and don't try to hide it? Why?
It depends. People explaining achievements and the good things they have done is alright, but people who try to compete with others annoy me at times.
Do you believe there is such a thing as world peace, or is it necessary in life for there always to be a duality in existence?
This reminds me of my Legal Studies course.. one of the topics is World Order and ways of achieving peace in society ^_^.
I do believe conflict will always exist. With so many different ideas and attitudes in society, and how we are all different there is no way that every person will agree and be at peace with others.

How many different countries, states, regions, or otherwise have you been to? Which is your favorite?

Do you believe that J.R.R. Tolkien was an amazing author and visionary, or just some weird guy who liked gnomes a bit too much?

Which planet in our solar system would you most want to see if you got the chance to visit one?

How do you feel about television, in general?
