Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A knife and a guitar. The knife would make a good multipurpose tool, and the guitar would keep me sane. Unless I find that I still don't know how to play it, then I'm going to use it to bludgeon fish for dinner.

I am a master guitar fisherman!
I love reading. I've found recently that I've fallen away from reading for recreation as much as I used to, but I'm trying to get back into it. I'm finding a lot more time to read during work lately.
I listen to pretty much everything. Lately, my preference has been a lot of jazz and big band, mixed with some blues. I'm a dancer in which those styles are played a lot, so they've been on my mind quite a bit. But I'll listen to pretty much everything but screamo or pointless rap. Bonus points if the song tells a story.

I dance. Mostly Lindy Hop, but other various swing-based styles as well. I'm actually counting down until I go tonight, there's a live band at a place out of town every week, and some of the people have been dancing there for decades. They're some great people, it brightens up my day to see them out there on the floor.

My username seems to be the most asked question of me this week. It means absolutely nothing.
Several years ago, I was going to start playing an online game with a friend. He told me I had to pick a name, and couldn't think of anything. I slammed my hands down on the keyboard, and that's what came out. It's stuck with me ever since.
