  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I don't think i do; there are some parents at school that don't like me very much b/c I don't give in to them- but i wouldn't call them enemies.

I have to think about the book one, there are lots. But the first one off the top of my head is The Prayer that Changes Everything by Stormie O martian. Then the Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning, then Boundaries by cloud and townsound (sp?)

Do you have bible verses you read everyday to renew your mind?
What's one area of your life you believe God has strengthened you? What do oyu feel is your weakest?
I read a proverbs a day. I'm reading through the Bible and I'm in Psalms right now. I read a few psalms every night.

I feel that God has strengthened me in my emotions. I think God has brought lots of healing in my life from a broken relationship. I feel weakest in trusting God, in having enough faith.

Do you ever feel this thread is something of a burden?

What was your dream growing up?
no, i liked being asked questions. No one asks me about myself in real life.

When i was growing up I wanted to be a ballet dancer and a mom.

Can you simply still trust God
if doing so
makes Jesus' Word true
when He said: "Members of your own family may be your worst enemies"
and
to His Disciples "You are not here to seek approval, but truth".
and(to His Disciples) "Men will hate you" because you are mine,
and so on in many times and ways......

I don't really understand the question. But, I struggle in trusting God simply and completely. There are members of my own family that have major problems with me being a Christian and loving Jesus. It's very hard. I really don't have a lot of close Christian friends and I often feel alone.

the question was sort of about two posts previous when you said you didn't have (m)any enemies? and about trusting......

the problem for many people is they think that if they follow Jesus then others mostly will like them,
but the opposite is true, and very hard for most people to understand...

if you simply love the truth even, Jesus said that you will be put out of meeting places and people will treat you the way they treated Him (remember that most leaders were jealous and envious of Him and agreed with getting rid of Him; this is absolutely still true if not much more so today!)....

you won't have many friends, percentage wise anyway, but like the believers in the underground in other countries the friends you have in union with Jesus and God will be very rare and very valuable...

Shalom.....

It was really good. I'm going to be working there parttime this summer. I'm going to be helping her with a children's camp. Maybe having a display of some of my things.

We went to chick fila, b/c we were visiting my friend's grandmother in a nursing home and she loves chicken nuggets. So we goto food and brought it back to her.

I think a lot of men are problems solvers- they want to get things acomplished. Women are more relationtional- they want to know how ya feel about the problem.

My favorite place to read is in bed, right before I go to sleep.

No, I have in the past.
