• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Gen 3: 22-24 said:
22 And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever." 23 So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. 24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side [a] of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

^^^Based on this scripture, do you think the Tree of Life could still exist today?

There are also some people in the world who have earned the distinction of being "bad."

In your view, is there such a thing as a "bad" person? (Example: Adolph Hitler)

If the answer is 'yes': if we are all sinners, what separates the "good" people from the "bad?"

hmmm. I would like to believe that no one is really "bad", but i think there are people who have consistantly chosen bad things and it sort of desensitzes them to the bad or evil so that they don't see the wrong in it. the people that i consider to be truly evil, such as Hitler Vlad the impaler, child molestors, serial killers, etc., had no mercy- no consideration for anyone else's pain but their own. They are ruthless and eager to inflict hurt and gross torture on others to obtain pleasure and satisfaction for themselves. To have no remorse for pain, hurt, that you purposely caused for someone else is an evil trait.

If you knew that you were going to be forced to live on a deserted tropical island for the rest of your life, but you were allowed to choose three possessions to bring along with you, what would they be?

Does art imitate life, or does life imitate art?

Who was the last greatest U.S. President?

Does art imitate life, or does life imitate art? There was life first, but one could argue that the creation of life was art itself by the Master Artist. Soooo.... i think it can be either one given a different situation.

Who was the last greatest U.S. President? Kenedy , I think was the last President that presented greatness to us. I think the American public sort of lost faith and even respect for the office of the President after him and the final nail was firmly nailed in with Watergate. I think that during that time period he was the right president for the era. But, looking back, the truth of who he was and how he operated wasn't all that spectacular; he was actually full of lies and deception. But, I do think he inspired people to be proud to be an American and to be proud to serve this country. He gave the public a hope and an excitement that no other President has been able to do.
