  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Funny you should ask this ... our golden retriever was put to sleep yesterday. That's been my only pet, but my mom's cat died when I was younger and my son's snake died.

If you were going tp the mission field, where would you go and what would you do? If you're already there, what are you doing?

A mission field? Someone correct me if I'm wrong. In our church we call them mission trips.
You become a missionary. Which means you give up your day to day life and do something good for a group of people who need it most, usually in a war-torn or third world country.
You probably do it for little or no pay, sometimes it's just living expenses.

A type of mission trip can be teaching English as a foreign language in an African villiage. Or taking the gospel to remote parts of Asia or maybe to countries where Christianity is forbidden.
It could be building a school in a country where girl's or poor children aren't being educated or it could be building a well to ensure the area has clean water to drink. Many Christians do it for a year after uni or for 3 or 6 months. But there are always opportunities to do it at any age. It's theraputic.:)

Wow, :othat answer was longer than expected, so I'll throw in an altogether fickle question:

Your have only just remembered your anniversary is TOMORROW, what do you throw together at the last minute?

Sometimes ... if I like the church I'm going to at the time. If it's a small group, often. If it's a standard worship service with a sermon, almost never.

Wuold you pay extra to be connected to your email 24x7 (not tied down - you can shut it off if you wish)?
