  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

No, I'm rephasing this idiotic meme to show you exactly how idiotic it is. Quite frankly, I personally think it's despicable as well as idiotic. And it's being used a lot. As moronic as it is, it's easy to mindlessly throw it out anytime there's some negative reaction to this administration. And I can't be bothered to keep endlessly repeating the obvious point that no-one is condoning any violence. Even when I point out the blazingly obvious fact that this administration is making a heck of a lot of people very angry indeed (cue someone inanely claiming 'oh, so you support this kind of act').

You can retract that immediately. I will not be accused of defending political violence in any way, shape or form. I have not done that and I will not do that. Again, I want you to retract that outrageous comment.

I condemn the violence whoever does it. I don't care what political stripe anyone is. Violence has no part to play, especially in politics. Do I make myself quite clear? Again, please retract that completely unfounded accusation.
I don’t know what meme you’re talking about and I can’t help but remember what you said about Trump saying go to the capital and peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard

New Mexico Republican Party headquarters targeted in suspected arson attack, officials say

The structure suffered "damage to the front entryway and smoke damage throughout the building," fire rescue said.
The words "ICE=KKK" were also spray-painted on the building, officials said.
Albuquerque Fire Rescue, the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives recovered "incendiary materials" at the scene of the fire, but the investigation remains ongoing, officials said on Monday.
The Republican Party of New Mexico said the incident was a "deliberate act of arson."
"This horrific attack, fueled by hatred and intolerance, is a direct assault on our values, freedoms and our right to political expression," party officials said in a statement on Sunday.
Party officials said this is not an isolated incident, claiming it is part of a "disturbing pattern of politically motivated violence that has plagued our country -- fueled in part by the silence and implicit encouragement from progressive leaders who refuse to condemn these acts."
The violence continues and grows -

This is domestic terrorism.

They are acting/operating like al-Qaeda..

For real.

Has been for years now. Start paying attention because it's becoming far more violent.

They are mixing Islam with Marxism, and there's no "head" with al-Qaeda either.

So now you have to find the religious system that tells people it's okay to commit violence against people for a political result - and figure out who their prophets are.

When you do that you will see it.

Because there's a system telling large men it's okay to run elderly women off the road to punch them in the face, that tells people in moving vehicles they can and should run over pedestrians, and that tells people firebombing buildings and cars is an acceptable practice plus it's highly religious in nature with more than their fair share of prophets and religious leaders.

Yes, people are angry and political leaders, on both right and left bear part of the responsibility.

All of them, or only those who encourage and support the violence? Because, while many Democratic leaders haven't specifically denounced the violence directed at Tesla products, or said anything at all about it, I've yet to see any actually encouraging it, or supporting it.

And the response is that Republicans have brought this on themselves. “Oh we’re not condoning violence but who can blame these people “

Yeah, but that's a far cry from encouraging or supporting the violence, isn't it?

-- A2SG, silence doesn't imply that, after all.....
I don’t know I have heard a lot of noise about Trump being silent for a while when the capital was attacked

I seem to recall a popular phrase on the left that went something like this: Silence is violence.

File:Silence is violence (15394765154 ...

Another variation was: Silence is complicity. The fact that big name Democrat leaders have remained silent for this long is damning.

Maybe, just maybe, people need to keep a grip on reality. If you want to use some moronic acts to so obviously redirect from what is happening then carry on doing it. The rest of us will condone any said acts and likewise condone the actions of this administration. I really don't think that you understand how fine a line they are treading.

The constitution seems to be considered a quaint document from times past that doesn't have any relevance in Trump's alternate universe. To the point where he is now actively talking about a third term.

When are you guys going to wake up?

Again, no-one has said or is saying that any acts of violence can be easily dismissed. People who commit violence for political ends can and must be punished for it. But anyone who suggests that it's a mystery as to why it has happened is not living in the real world. You'd do well to separate those who are saying 'It's obvious why some idiots are doing this' from any other idiot who says 'Well, you can't blame them.'

And I appreciate you removing that post.

During it, maybe. But he sure seemed to encourage it beforehand, and supported those who committed violence afterward, to the point of pardoning everyone.

Do you take that term to mean silence is equal to encouragement and support?

-- A2SG, dunno, there may be a difference of context here....

I've got an idea. Here's a story about someone shooting a dog:

Anyone who doesn't explicitly condemn that is obviously giving it tacit encouragement. Shame on them!

You have to forgive them for their ignorance because the house manager chose to ignore that, and left-wing media used what they wanted to focus on fight.

All this destruction over the last several years has shown many on the left has gone nuts. No one in their right mind destroys things because they don't know how to control their emotions.

This is a good idea. They should be destroying their property and Tesla's, even their own dogs, if it makes them feel better, and leave other people's stuff alone.

If dogs were being shot in multiple instances across the country for political reasons you would have a point

I haven't seen any Democrats encouraging violence and I haven't seen many Republicans doing it. I've seen both condemning violence.
