CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I hope more community leaders with naturally good liberal christian vision and values, who are naturally motivating people, could aim for cultually empowerment activities----possibly empowerment drop-in centers---where information sharing in our local community and support of what real empowerment awareness is about---( with pro-bono legal information and funding for counsel in areas of our civil rights) We should have more government funding and support for intelligent cultural values in the spirit of the people our communities. Community leaders should be encouraging good public opinion polls and public surveys---with intelligent reality and perception testing, and validation of what good relevant and timely information sharing is about---in support of what good responsive empowerment support is in each and every one of our lives in our communities nation wide, and how valuable timely and relevant information sharing is in our often drug and crime filled public schools and communties.
We need to share and validate what genuine empathy actually is; what good self-awareness, assertive skills and what healthy self-esteem is all about----all in all, what healthy emotional intelligence and empowerment is; and how these attributes are part of good
basic good homeland security policies and our national cultural values. We have to share and promote good proactive, responsive information gathering and empowerment skills---------and promote these values of cultural empowerment in our national "spirit" of patriotism ---as a liberal-minded, culturally-envisioned, christian freespirit people. We have to practice using and promoting healthy question asking skills whcih is able to confront all authority, in light of our Freedom of Information Act....We need more funding in our local and country social welfare systems and agencies promoting behavioral and social science studies, public opinion polls and public survey taking of quality government managment that encourages healthy policies of empowerment in the cultural values of the people.
