  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Lbiagm,

Sir,

I see you've some experience in this forum. I've read the FAQ's and think I understand the workings of this site, but I'm a bit overwhelmed by the amount of material here. I'm not an experienced "internet guy" by any stretch.

Can a new person to the forum start a discussion? Where exactly do you post it? Do you find a topic that seems to fit and just reply there?

These probably seem like silly questions, but I would like to learn how to do this right.

Thanks,

Matt

I'm from Arkansas...personally, I think we're Southern with a dash of Western thrown in. We have both Southern and Old West history.
we do? lol

I have no clue about our state history to speak of, and i have lived her all my life sabe for a year and 2/4 in Indiana.

I just know, its hot, buggy, humid, critter ridden, dusty, tornado magnetic, and doesnt get snow just freezing rain lol

I got spoiled in Indiana (moved there Oct 2001, left july 2003)
Summer was only bad about a month, we got real snow and nothing closed down, ppl didnt run to the store like the world was ending when the weather was bad, less bugs, less humiodity, still had critters just different ones. and i didnt once see a snake!

Yea we do:thumbsup: Ever hear of Hanging Judge Parker? US Marshalls from Ft. Smith were responsible for law and order for a little while in then Indian Country (Oklahoma) and brought outlaws to Judge Parker in Ft. Smith for his brand of justice. Northwest Arkansas was also on the Butterfield Stage Coach Route, which went from St. Louis to San Francisco. The Ozarks were also home to hiding bands of outlaws and today is home to one of the biggest rodeos in the country, the Rodeo of the Ozarks.
