Aren't we forgetting somewhere?

We've had Canadian bands and Australian bands, but there's a certain somewhere that we're forgetting. Alright, so I'm really just making this thread in the spirit of friendly trans-Tasman rivalry (no need to remind me I now live in Australia, thank you), but how's our familiarity with bands from New Zealand?

NZ's produced some AWESOME music. First band that comes to mind is the legendary Crowded House, one of my favourite groups. Then there's Split Enz (from whom half of Crowded House came from), an awesome group who made what I consider one of the best songs of all time, History Never Repeats. There are also some really good current artists. The Feelers are making some awesome stuff (I love the songs Weapons Of War and Labyrinth), and how can we forget Pacifier? I have their 2CD live release and it's got some really good stuff on it.

OK, I'll leave it there. Now you have your say! (And don't say you're not familiar with Kiwi bands ...)

Great play on words for the title, Axver. Even if you didn't intend to use that line from the Crowded House song that says "Now we're getting somewhere", it's still quite amusing.

I might have heard the Feelers before, not sure. I love that song "Walkie Talkie Man" by Steriogram that's just come out on Triple M in Sydney; the rapped verses are unintelligible but the song has a nice groove to it. Also I like the post name change Pacifier songs a fair bit too. Plus Crowded House and Split Enz are "da bomb".
