Me and my ex became friends again recently. As people we like each other. To me that's the best way for a Christian break up. We should continue to love one another. And so this friendship is important and means so much to me.

The biggest challenge will come when one of us finds someone. If that someone is the open minded type no problem. But if he/she is the jealous type it will be very hard to maintain our friendship. I pray that God will find a way.

To me it depends on the degree to which the relationship was beneficial in the first place and each person's capacity to be civil afterwards. I am friends with a few guys that at some point in time I was attracted to or dated. But the dating relationship wasn't very serious in the first place, so the "break up" wasn't very traumatic. It was easy to be civil to each other and after a time we were able to restore a level of friendship. With others though, a complete break in relationship was necessary for the well being of both parties.

No I am not still friends with my ex-wife. She had an affair on me so that basically ended the relationship.

5 years and counting, still not heard from my ex-wife, but am starting a face book friendship with my eldest daughter. This is a good thing, she seems to have grown up a lot and does not expect me to play the role of atm anymore.
