  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Are you going to watch the movie "Noah" with Russel Crowe?

I think it will hit the theaters in March 2014. Will you go watch it?

I'll probably try to see it. However, it's likely that the liberties taken with the biblical text will be cringe-worthy in places.

I might go see the Noah movie.

As with all books turned into movies, details have to be changed (heck, if LOTR was a 100% faithful adaptation, it'll be a 20 hour movie with 15 of those hours walking..).

My hope is for around 80% accuracy.

But we know it'll be a far better movie than Evan Almighty in any case..

Well, if it was true to the Bible it would probably be about half an hour long. The Bible doesn't exactly go into a lot of detail. I wonder if it will have the bit about Noah getting drunk afterwards.

My hubby will probably want to see it (He's a Christian, although not a particularly observant one).

That's true. It might be short if the Bible was strictly observed.

But really though, after more thought, I'll be encouraged if a film based loosely on the biblical story can be made and accepted by a general audience of Christians and non-Christians.

I haven't quite decided yet since its not really going to be based on the actual Biblical account. At the same time I want to because it has Russell Crowe, and Emma Watson in it.
