CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The real astronaut who is in that suit is Colonel Mike Hopkins. A quick google should turn out that picture and his face and confirm my picture is only photoshopped.

Brave enough? I suppose I am, at least enough to show you myself as a child (I still look somewhat the same).
This is myself and elder my sister, little cousin, and maternal grandparents standing by the well of my grandparent's front yard in Chattanooga. My sister has become a respectable mother, albeit a rather hippy-ish one
, my younger cousin Haley is in college studying to be a journalist (and has already been on tv a few times, I believe), and both of my maternal grandparents were very loving and spoiled all three of us their grandchildren. In a way, I hope this picture honors them both after their deaths from Alzheimer's disease in the past decade of my life, my grandmother having gone about nine years ago, and my grandfather following her just last year. I still miss them sometimes, and all of the memories we share in that lovely home they had where I spent so much of my childhood.
