There are two truths existing today in politics:

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez wants what is best for our society.

And

Donald Trump wants what is best for our society.

To borrow from Jeff Foxworthy, if you cannot admit those two truths you might be a zealot.

I might be able to deny BOTH of those supposed truths.

Simply politics has/is created/creating a time when truth is relative with also the help of media.
Crimes are stated to be committed, but yet no one ever is accountable for their crimes. Government and politicians and media are just a bunch of liars.

Or you might have a slightly more nuanced understanding of human nature than this.

Interesting OP. I might rephrase it to "<so and so> wants what is best for their society" on both counts. I'm not sure they agree on what their society is, and whatever their definition is, it's likely I disagree with them both. It's also very possible for a politician to want power, votes and popularity and not really care whether it's good for the society as a whole, for even sub portions that they identify as society. When a politicians definition of society consists of 'their party' (or even 'themselves') and not 'their country', there's a problem.

As far as zealotry goes, I guess I would say that if someone is posting more than 1 article or opinion piece a week championing their side and demonizing the other, I tend to consider that person a political zealot. Especially if they value zealotry over facts and appear to be deliberately disseminating false or misleading information. Most of those I put on Ignore after a while. Works really well, whether they are on Christian Forums or sitting in an elected office.

There are a lot more truths than that. Everyone has their opinion of what is best for our society.

Donald Trump has never shown any loyalty to anyone or anything other than himself. He might love his children; he certainly never loved any of his wives, having betrayed all of them.

If I was Don Jr. or Ivanka, I'd be very, very careful; he has a history of tossing those closest to him under the bus.
