Are You A Missionary & If So, Where?

I am not a missionary, but I am currently in the process of getting ready to go on a mission trip to China this coming June. I am so very excited but I can't help but worry about the financial part of it. It is going to cost about $2600 to go for 2 weeks. I don't know where the money will come from and I know that my family is not to keen on helping out. They think it is foolish and dangerous. But God owns everything so I know that it will all work out. Any ideas of how to get the money?

I am a missionary in Ukraine. Have lived here for the better part of 10 years. Originally from Indiana, USA.

I work with a church planting ministry here. So far, 13 churches planted throughout the country. Probably another 2 or 3 this summer.

Has always been good advice to "go where the fishing is good." Right now that is true for us here in Ukraine. Keep us in your prayers!

A good book on this subject is "Third Culture Kids" by David Pollock and Ruth Van Reken, I got it off the Amazon website. They have a whole organization for people like you, mk's, diplomats kids etc. My husband is Latino, I am a kiwi and we were missionaries in the Netherlands for a while so our daughter was going to be really confused, but now we are living back in NZ, so she will only be bi-linguel instead of tri-linguel!!

There is an interview in the end of this month for missionary post in Japan.
It's possible that me and my family will leave to Japan for 8 years.... I'll tell you more later as soon as possible.
