Are we still bound by the commands in Leviticus or not?

And if you showed me a valid reason why there are not I would eagerly reconsider my stance. But you won't..you'll continue to say "there are non" and will walk away..because you don't have any proof. You only have your burning desire for homosexuality to be "okayed" by God.

Christians are not bound by Levitucal laws. Discussions about whether one is or isnt is the sort of legalism and Christians are set free from. Under the law there is judgement according to the law, under the new covenant faith in Christ's and repentance saves us from judgement. Jesus Christ is obviously the fulfillment of the law and He says He is. Anyone discussing whether one is under the law or not can't yet be sure and certain of what Christ has done.

Many religions believe in 'love one another' and indeed humanists do too. That means nothing, the OT commands which also included prohibition on same-sex sex were to love one another as oneself, so too the fulfillment in Christ and His teaching.
No love one another may be the humanists greatest mantra but it isnt the Christian's, the Christian's is love God first and then love one another, and Christ has become that way

I'm responding to two posts in one:

"Love one another" Jesus said it. Case closed.

Amen!

It's not just a mantra, it's a command right from the mouth of Christ Jesus Himself. The fact that humanists heed it as well is no reason to ignore it.

That conclusion is based on a faulty understanding of the three types of laws found in Leviticus.
As pointed out the Bible makes not distinction and those that do can't even agree on now many divisions, 2 or 3. Plus they don't agree on which laws are in which catagory.

In the NT but Paul and James say if we obey one of the commands of the Law we are obligted to obey all the commands of the Law.

Law is used of the Mosaic law and never used to refer to some subcatagory of the law.

Paul clearly says in Rom.10:4 that Jesus Christ is the end of he law for righteousness.

Love for God and Love for people is the only way the NT says we can fulfill the law. The NT always takes the postition that we can't keep the law and gain any righteousness from obeying the law, indeed Paul says if we live by the law we will die by the law. Jesus is our life and being led by the Holy Spirit is the way to not fulfill the sinful natures desires.

So love God and people and thereby live in the blessing of God.

Even if the Leviticus laws condemned homosexuality, the NT clobber passages can't in any possible way refer to homosexuality as many of us here have shown.

I accepted the grace of Jesus in my life. Following Old Law is fruitless as explained by Christ and St. Paul.
