Are U2 a christian band ? Your opinion please .

Why would they have to mention Jesus in every song to be considered a Christian band ? That is rediculous, they have the theme and thread running through their music. Lots of their music is about life and living, in a very positive and affirming way. I refuse to listen to so called Christian music, as it is garbage. I will however listen to U2 alwayys....

Bono is rooted in faith and he has faith in Jesus. What I don't think he has faith in is the media...you don't think the media would have a field day as they do tearing down other Christians? Besides what Bono is doing is more like the "Messianic Secret" type stuff, he has reached more people doing what he's doing than any other so called Christian band. 'Nuff said
