I have looked through the musician topics...and I am a musician. But, I never seen any sound board threads...! Why is that? I mean, they deal with music too.. If it wasn't for them, there would not be much balance in the music. I am a sound board person...is there any other people that deal with sound board? I was wondering... If so, we need our own thread, huh?

u talkin like eq sound boards? i do some of that sometimes. used to do it alot when me and my friend were still doing our DJ biz.

like contol of monitors and the house...mic's and guitars, etc. Like at Church...?! That what you talkin about? Because that's what I meant...[I just started about a month or towo ago...

i'd have to say the closest thing to a 'sound board/tech' thread we have is "PA's and Ampifiers". you could always post a "sound board" thread in there and see if it takes...


i'm also a musician who can run sound and i totally enjoy it.

It is kind of hard, but it is enjoyable. I do it at Church [it was REALLY fun the first time I did it! It was on easter Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was a lot of people there, one person was singing a song, and there was an alter call! I did it for 2 services...I had just learned the day before! It was like a 20 minute learning at the most! You talk about weird and having to adjust! I messed up a little...but for the most part it was ok! ]

yeah I have the ability to run the sound board, but I dont have to exept occasionally for the big church praise n worship team... I am normally singing n playin tho lol

yeah...it is fun...but sometimes it is tricky! [especially because of our speakers...they go down instead of out at you. It is hard to hear very well...in the back. But, I do the best I can! ]

make sure u have a good pair of head phones and use those to hear the sound rather than do it from the stand. that way u know exactly what it sounds like coming out of the speakers
