Are there any Christians that don't believe in Creationism out there?

Good afternoon sisters and brothers, gentlemen and gentler women (to borrow from Sparrow),

I have a question, and before I waste all my time browsing for answers, I'll just put it in the room:

Are there any Christians out there, other than those living in Europe, that do not believe in Creationism or ID? Because I'm beginning to feel a little lost.

Thanks.

There are Christians who do not believe in macroevolution (across species) but do believe in microevolution (within species, otherwise known as adaptations).

All of the evolutionary proof points to microevolution, not macroevolution.

Anyway, this is my belief and the belief of others.

I suppose you could say some Christians believe that species were designed to evolve.

There are a lot that don't, and a lot that do.
Well, yes, I guess there are. I think I put the question wrong. Are there any churches / ministries that teach something substantial that doesn't include this nonsense? I used to be quite fond of Ligonier Ministries until they jumped on that wagon. Now I'm really beginning to loose faith here.

Thanks. Sounds reasonable. - As I just mentioned to the other responder, I think I put my question wrong. I was more interested in teaching ministries than what individuals believe. - Thanks!

William Lane Craig has an interesting adherence to this sort of belief, I'd check it out.
Just google William lane craig, Creationism.

Don't know how you could be a Christian (legitimately) and not believe in creationism.

There is a point where there is cognizant dissonance in parts of the evolution issue. There is the hardcore belief that life on earth must necessarily have developed from a single organism (categorically denying microevolution), yet the same people will believe life can spring up willy-nilly in all sorts of adverse conditions. If that's the case, then an excellent environment like early earth should very well have had thousands or millions of separate life-starts.

In another thread, I mention my particular belief that the earth tells us its natural story (Psalm19) and that Genesis is an honest interpretation of an unnarrated vision of the natural story given to a Bronze Age man. The honest interpretation is not naturally accurate, but its real purpose is to provide spiritual information, not the factual information we can get by observing nature directly.

Depends how you define creationism. I would think all Christians would agree that God ultimately created everything, but whether He used methods like evolution is a point of contention.

I agree with you. I believe that the Bible is not a science book, but the science in the Bible is accurate. Just like it is not a history book, but the history in it is accurate.

Yes, my question was posted wrong. My apologies. As mentioned earlier, I'm looking for legitimate Christian teachers or teaching ministries that do not get involved with this pseudo-science of Creationism or ID.

I believe God created the universe, but not 10,000 years ago. A "legitimate" Christian should respect the truth. And the truth is that the universe is not 10000 years old.
