I have Logos as well and it is meant more for the academic/clergy than it is for the layman. When @gordonhooker says its a powerful piece of software he is not kidding. There is a learning curve to mastering the software with things like organizing your library, setting parameters for searches etc. Most of the features the layman will never use so I would recommend a starter edition, get a few resources that you will actually use like a good commentary set or study bible notes along with a bible dictionary. And look out for sales because the bundles will go on sale occasionally (that's how I acquired Logos). I purchased a lower tier level bundle and added things that I wanted like original language sets, lexicons etc rather than a bundle of resources that I would never use.The $999 version is the full version with a large library and all the featurs. There is a Basic version that is free with limited features and something around 17 books included.
