That was probably the Christian Apologetics forum. I get denied there too because I've never bothered to request permission. That's the only one I've ever bumped into where I couldn't post, even before I upgraded membership.

Everyone always mentions this one---it was conditional.

She did not trash the RCC. She often said that there were many very true and sincere worshippers. A person can be against a system of believes and not be against the people. I am totally opposed to Scientology and many others believe systems---I am not opposed to the people. I can not address the Orthodoxy question for she did not mention them that I know of. Does not mean she was not aware of them, but that they are not instrumental in some things, esp. dealing with bible prophecy. They did not have the power that the RCC had over Europe that the RCC had or will again have.

I don't know. I even had trouble posting here for a while. I'd get denied permission to post and had to jump through a whole lot of hoops before the software would allow me to post again. I've talked to a moderator about it and he said it shouldn't have happened from what he knows and that I should have taken it all to management but it just wasn't worth the effort to me once I was able to post once again.

The weird thing about it all was that I was denied permission to post here until I gave the site my home web page. LOL. I gave it this forum and my permissions were changed to allow me to post in here again. Very weird if you ask me.

So do about 50 others -- listed in Wikipedia. There are many other details to this than the 7 hills.

Did you know that EGW opined that the lower races were the result of "amalgamation of man and beasts"?

She also wrote that every species God did not create were destroyed in the Flood.

How can there be a species God did not create?

There you go again---putting quotes around words does not mean you are quoting the source. Please quote the source. What she said was not what you are inferring at all. The amalgamation of man and beast was not about blacks in any way shape or form. It was the sin of the preflood peoples. And it does not mean that she said that man and animals were being sexually produced. It means that they were mixing things that God never intended---how--we do not know. People are under the impression that man back then were very primitive--completely false. These people were total savants. God made Adam and Eve with perfect brains. Are you truly aware of what the so called idiot-savants can do? I don't like that word, they are partial savants. Part of their brains are retarded--but that part that isn't is phenomenal.
"Peek, Kim was able to memorize things from the age of 16–20 months. He read books, memorized them, and then placed them upside down on the shelf to show that he had finished reading them, a practice he maintained all his life. He could speed through a book in about an hour and remember almost everything he had read, memorizing vast amounts of information in subjects ranging from history and literature, geography and numbers to sports, music and dates. Peek read by scanning the left page with his left eye, then the right page with his right eye. According to an article in The Times newspaper, he could accurately recall the contents of at least 12,000 books."

We have no idea what a brain that is totally savant, without any defects, is able to do. That those ancient peoples might have been doing what we today call genetic engineering is not beyond the realm of possibility in the slightest. We, today are messing with all sorts of genetic "amalgamation". There are hybrids being made that do not normally appear in the wild. They can, and sometimes do for the command is to reproduce according to kind and a tiger and a lion are of the same kind, though in the wild breed extremely infrequently. The offspring of many hybrids do not reproduce. Only 2 mules have been known to reproduce. The modern scientist is cloning and mixing the genes of animals and humans today, and even mixing the genes of animals with humans. Jesus must surely come soon for we are indeed, marring His image. We are having many species right now that God did not create. There are chimps, goats and other animals with human DNA put in them.

I notice you did not give the scientific names of any of these species that God did not creat.

And how can I when they disappeared in the flood? They are being created outside nature today, and they do have names. There are those created by kinds that do not normally interbreed but are done so through the power of man bringing them together and through scientific means.
horse/zebra tiger/lion jaguar/tiger
tiger/lion
donkey/zebra
lion/leopard
sheep goat
llama camel

Surely you know about these? These are not photo shopped--look up "real animal hybrids"--not just animal hybrids. Just animal hybrids gets you photoshopped stuff mixed in. Hilarious stuff, but not real.
These are within the same families. Ligers (lions and tigers) seldom ever happen in the wild. Ligers can't really survive in the wild for they get to big and heavy to be able to hunt effectively--too slow.
These are really in the same families, but are seldom, if ever, seen together for they live in different habitats. These are done by interbreeding through the efforts of man.
What is being done through strictly scientific means
This is from 2011

150 human animal hybrids grown in UK labs: Embryos have been produced secretively for the past three years
There are human organs being grown in animals for possible transplantation into humans. This has been going on for years and are called after the Greek myths--chimeras. You can look up the word. Natural human chimeras do actually exist. The words just means the joining of two different organisms----it can happen in nature when one twin absorbs the other and one human is born with the DNA of 2 different people. It can be quite a problem and was for one woman who took her sick child into the hospoitsl and they took it away from her for they said she was not it's mother and they assumed she had stolen it. She had another child, and though they immediately tagged it--it too was not hers---after much anguish and research, they figured out she had absorbed her twins uterus. You can look up absorbed twins for more info.

I'm aware of human chimeras (chimerai?) Buyt they do not constitute a separate species.

I think the first two pictures you posed are in fact composites.

Did you know an SDA hospital in Loma Linda put a baboon's heart into a female infant?

I've heard of ligers (father is a lion) and tiglons (father is a tiger) being born in zoos.

That was helpful.

Do Seventh Day Adventists believe in salvation by grace alone through faith alone?

No, the first 2 are not composites.
And what SDA isn't aware of the baboon heart??!! That is what I mean---
"As in the days of Noah"---now you know what was going on in the days of Noah!!

Yes! We keep His commandments because we are saved, not in order to be saved.

Thank you, that's helpful.

I just wanted to let you know, dear, that neither the Assyrian Church of the East, Oriental Orthodox Church, Eastern Orthodox Church, or Catholic Church teach this. Neither do they interpret the Lord's Supper symbolically.

God bless you, and thank you for helping me understand you guys better.

Yes--I know. We do believe it is symbolic of the blood and body of Christ.

Obviously we believe in the Sabbath for no one can find a verse that states---"The Sabbath has been changed to Sunday to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus"--therefore the 4th commandment stands.

The Sabbath is Saturday, which starts at sundown on Friday.

What is the Church permitted or nor permitted to do on the Sabbath?

We follow what the commandment reads:
Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exo 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Isa 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
Isa 58:14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

It is a day to spend with God, not a day to do secular things--but it's not a day of mourning! It's supposed to be a delight. Doing good for others. Resting from all labors and not thinking about our problems. Fellowshipping with others--but not secular parties. We don't usually cook, but we do heat stuff up. And do try to not make it a day of a list of "don'ts". Spend time in prayer and reading scripture and spiritually uplifting material. Chill out---go for a leisurely walk--just not running a marathon!

Make sure you follow the way the commandment was given, not just the parts of the commandment.

You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Exodus 31:14-15

Does the SDA organization teach and obey this Sabbath commandment?
