I generally think that people make too big of a deal out of this kind of thing, but I wouldn't say that every 'magic' game is fine to play. If the game has you doing black magic and invoking/worshipping Satan it's probably a bad idea. (Although I maintain that games like the Doom series, which involve Satanic powers as the villains which you, the hero, have to defeat, are fine).

so they are fine to play?

If it makes you anxious or anything then it will not be worth the trouble but there is as much magic in those games as there are watching cartoon figures walking and talking. Talking Donald Duck is not magic.

Yeah, propably. Once I play a game with some minor spellcasting, my tv started floating and ominous latin chanting could be heard in the distance.

Now, my religion has no law against witchcraft, but you'd better be safe and avoid anything that includes even small traces of the supernatural.

What about games where you, the hero has abilities that invoke "demon power"??

I play a "Demon Hunter" in World of Warcraft. This character invokes uses demon power and Occult symbols empower it. Bad idea?? Stop playing this game permanently and delete my characters??

Basically, this game invokes a lot of Occult symbols in the majority of its characters (except for Priest and Paladin-which is basically a Christian crusader). I did have Paladin mostly but getting bored of it so have been also trying others like Demon Hunter and Death Knight (uses runic Occult symbols).

Although I don't play WoW anymore due to lack of time.

I have a completely different reason to advise against MMO games.

What i'm wondering is i play a few games with magic but they don't have any demons or anything is magic considered which craft or no?

No. If you have a job that you hate you should do activities like that for stress release. If you don't work you should refrain from some entertainment atleast occassionally. If you don't have a job you hate, then you should spend alot of your time praying for people who suffer alot.

Too many people hate their lives to justify the traditions of men. Read letters/books of the Bible written by Paul for more information on this. Ephesians, Corinthians, Romans. Do a bing search for books or letters written by Paul.

I know what you mean.

What if the game is not MMO? Is it still okay to play such game if your character has demonic abilities/spells, invoke actual Occult symbols that you can actually see on the screen?

I'd say it depends on the context.

The backstory of all playable races in WoW is that you're supposed to be fighting for a good cause (good vs evil). This includes playable characters with demonic abilities.

If you're using demonic abilities (in a game) to defeat evil (an enemy which is also demonic/satanic). Is this scenario ok / justified?

Why are you asking as if I am some sort of authority on the matter?

You do seem to have good points for this topic.

And I'm trying to find a reason to play my Demon Hunter in WoW, lol! Such an exciting character.

But I'm also willing to stop playing it if there are compelling reasons to. I take games seriously and there's probably a lot of other things to do anyway apart from games.

The games aren't witchcraft just by being a game, but they open up doorways for you to be influenced by demonic activity. The doorways are part of the craft; the object of the craft doesn't have to believe it exists for it to work.

In fact, witchcraft works best when the object is a denialist of the craft and power thereof, simply because an informed opponent is a difficult opponent. Just knowing about how the craft is being applied is enough to cause a crafter to seek another target.

It works in the same way a magician wouldn't try to use an audience member, who knows stage magic, as a volunteer .

So would these games be alright to play if they don't have anything Satan related? but they have a magic?
