so appease him until the judgment.
By calling the simulated behavior harmless, you are in effect endorsing it.
you don't believe it at all possible that it desensitizes people to the real?Yep, no matter how realistic, the fact it is fiction makes it worlds different from witnessesing the event in real life.
Then what were you talking about snuff films being entertainment for then?Im not putting slaves in arenas against their will to fight in blood sports for my enjoyment.
obviously violence, as well as pornography, witchcraft, satanism, take your pick.Like what, everything else is a lot of things.

I thought you were insinuating that confusing was satan's realm. In fact, as the author of the Bible, God has done a great deal to confuse people. As much as we wish things were clearly, sometimes they are not.But I did not say that now did I?
No sin is acceptable. These acts in virtual worlds are not sin, that is what I am saying, yet they can impact our character over time, so we need to assess why we are playing these games. Depending on the reason why we are indulging in that fiction, we can then determine if it's ok.I was asking what sins are we to consider harmless if fictionalized.
It depends on what the content is that is removed and if it impacts other areas. For example replacing soldiers with zombies in BF2, would destroy the entire game for me, so no. Yet not having blood appear when shot, is fine. In fact one of the big discussion I had with a friend at work was that I would possibly play Diablo 2 if the extreme gore was removed. The thing Is that would you still play the game if the objectionable parts were removed?
I think fellowship is generally a good thing, and if we can promote our message through it, then that's even better. Heck, if Jesus hung out with prostitutes and sinners, I think we can certainly say that good will come of it if we uphold our integrity.Fellowship with the world is not necessarily a Good thing.
Were Christians enjoying that too? I think not.I am certain there was plenty of fellowship watching Christians being fed to the lions in the coliseum,.
No sins are acceptable, that's for sure. Yet these actions in games are not sins. Did you read my post earlier about how God created rules to protect us and how all sin has a consequence and so on?This is also not an answer to my question of what other sins are acceptable.
Yes it can, and that's something we see all the time in our lives, where people who do things that we ourselves are not used to, regularly, they find it much easier than us. It has less of an impact on them than us. It's not just about violence and gore and so on, but we have the ability to adapt to anything we experience often enough. Just as a window clearner who cleans windows by dangling from a rope down the side of a high-rise building has no issues about it, something like that would scare the heck outta me. Yet after doing it for a few years I would think nothing of it.Nope.

You can raise your children how ever you want, dont want your kids playing a harmless computer game . Thats your choice.
I would think you would be above petty personal attacks such as this, especially considering the things you have revealed about yourself and life on this forum. But again, your life, cant stop you from being a hypocrite.
Are Americans really that sheltered? Generations after generations have grown up in real violence, living though those things and lived on to be productive law abiding citizens. Seeing these things doesnt make someone a criminal, just as playing a video game is not going to effect someones behavior. It is a video game, I fail to see how that point is so lost.
Snuff films.
Petty personal attacks is this Mezza "But again, your life, can’t stop you from being a hypocrite."
I am not living in adultery Mezza, just because I hadn't went before your religion of man made doctrine to have it annulled. You cling to one teaching of your religion and reject others because of your self seeking desires. Not a personal attack, I’m sure we have already discussed you living in a perpetual state of adultery so no point in re-hatching the discussion. I just find it rich that someone in your position would go out of their way to point out what they think are others sins and use that as a "moral high" ground.

I don't know If I would call strangulation or neck breaking in a game insignificant, particularly for a Christian.
Is this something we need to be involved in?
you do not know the why nor how divorce came about in my marriage. nor are you my judge and jury.Who are you trying to convince?
Thus a married woman is bound by law to her husband as long as he lives. . . . Accordingly, she will be called an adulteress if she lives with another man while her husband is alive" (Rom. 7:23)
But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery. (Matthew 5:32)
I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery." (Matthew 19:9)
Your right and I apologize for the detour off the topic of this thread.I don't wish to take this thread down a completely unrelated and very personal road, but I think it's clear some of us don't worship the same person.
In this I would suggest we stick to the topic at hand, and leave out the personal attacks. Regardless of whether we are right or wrong it most certainly isn't Christlike, and that's something we should adhere to and uphold at every possible opportunity.
Cheers,
Digit

I have had just about enough of your disrespect. You accuse me of adultery for reasons it was not nullified by the religion you chose to follow, excuse me part of the religion you choose to follow, the pope is only vice god when you say he is.
those are the words of Jesus Christ, our lord and savior. Maybe you have just never read them before, who knows what caused you to enter into the lifestyle that you do. But i will pray for you and the man you live with, as well as your husband.
