background : Arden grew up in a place where war is a way of life. you either fight or die. in this place men learn to fight very quickly, then lean quicker when they have sisters to protect. arden is one such man, he grew up protecting his younger sister.
ardens family lives in back of the main castle of their town in a cabin located in a grove of trees. this is lucky for them because the constant assault on their town never got past the castle and never thought to look for gold among trees.
therefore, ardens family has been able to save scraps of money and when arden was born, they paid for a 10 year academy for him to attend.
arden went though the training and tests. it is said to be the hardest school in the area, i teaches academics and also trains boys to fight.
after the ten years each boy is announced a position that his teacher thinks will fit him best, the list is endless but the one that was chosen for arden was, Centurion. slow, strong and tough as an oak.
arden is only the 17th centurion ever to emerge from that school so as you can imagine, he was quite proud. but as he was walking home, something was missing... his house, the trees. they were cut down.
apperently as he was in school for 10 years the raids got more creative and thought that they would come from the back for a tactical advatige. in the prosses, they destroyed his house.
arden has now left that place and wanders looking for any of his family who may have eescaped.
