• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I just want to say that I appreciate CF for giving us this forum, as well as, I appreciate everyone in this forum.
It's hard when you mingle amongst people in everyday life and they don't understand you. Sometimes, when I tell people I'm bipolar they say things like "But you don't act bipolar." Almost makes me chuckle inside cause I'm thinking "If you only knew!" Other times, when I tell people I'm bipolar they get scared and try to avoid me for they think I'm going to start swinging at them at any given second or I'm going to go off the deep end and start ranting and raving.
When no one has a clue as to what you're going through it causes that sense of lonlines and sometimes you just want to isolate yourself from the outside world. That way you don't have to explain yourself so much. At least that's how I feel and I'm sure many of you feel the same either some of the time or all of the time.
Here, we all understand and therefore we can support one another and say "Hey, I know what you're going through" To hear that from someone who REALLY knows means alot.
Thank you for always being here and for always being supportive.
I'm sorry for not being here and being supportive of you when I was going through my episode, but when I'm to the point of not really following my own advice, it's really hard for me to give it.
Y'all are very special to me and I don't know what I would've done without you.
I LOVE Y'ALL SO MUCH!!
May God Bless and Keep You Always!
:hug:'s and :angel::kiss:es!!

Well Angelkiss...I must say you summed my thoughts about this forum perfectly. This place has been such a refuge for me. This is where I learned to be honest with myself about bp and finally excepted that it is a part of my life. This is where I have been encouraged to read Gods Word and pray. This is where I came out of my shell, perse. You dear "friends" have given so much support and encouragement...Thank you just doesn't seem to be enough.

With  s & :prayer: s,
Wendy

The love and fellowship we find here is such a true blessing sent from above and the moments I spend here at CF are moments that I treasure. It feels good to know that we can come here and pray for one another, laugh with one another, and even cry with one another. :)

I still have the title "newbie" but I agree completely. I have never found a place where I felt I could really be myself. And really get the help I need. I had gotten tired of being the one who always had "problems" that I quit seeking prayer and encouragement for them. But I have both of those here, and maybe I can get the courage I need to face the "real" world, knowing this is always a safe place for me.

Alana, the thanks is great. I think I speak for everyone when I tell you that your presence is as much a blessing for all of us as ours is for you.

When people try to tell me that Mental illness is a figment of the imagination, I say, "Well, I'll stop taking my meds for a couple of weeks and then drop by and allow you to determine which of the two of me you're talking with."

That always seems to satisfy their curosity about things.

Glad to have you active here in the super-friends network! Keep up with things. You sound so much better!

I agree it is good to be able to share! and to lift oneanother up in prayer. Blessings

Hi Angelkiss

IT IS AWESOME THAT WE CAN SHARE, LIFT ONE ANOTHER UP IN PRAYER, SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER, AND ENCOURAGE EACH OTHER  !

You know, with all the other forums out there, that the enemy (meant not to capitalize) uses to "drag people down", it is a BLESSING and more to have sites like this and others that carry the message and help those who are suffering!

 s & :prayer: s,
Wendy
