For me it’s having the mind of Christ. Meaning everything is of and for God yet we are in a fallen world and that would include how we view our fellow man.

I'm not on here often but I had a quick question. In addition to worship, prayer, and bible study how do you physically apply god's word to your life?
9 Let love be without hypocrisy.

Following in the steps of Jesus, Jesus is our example of how we should live and treat others.

1 Peter 2:21

For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.

That's part of the reason I was wondering because death of the soul life seems to be implied not bodily death. Spiritual life is what is gained. The process would be gaining the mind of Christ but at the expense of what is common to mankind. But there is a win/lose involved.

I knew a grandmother that prayed 4h a day had so much power of God .. then anyone else I have ever known. Any need.. in everything of this life she went right to the word of God and read it then prayed and always answered. So when fear comes.. no God has not given me the spirit of fear but of power love and a sound mind. For me to abide in Christ and to keep His words is to have them always in me. We keep doing this till it goes from our head to our heart. Its written renewing our minds, praying 24/7. I know He is real.. I know He is in me.. its every moment asking the sweet sweet holy Spirit to lead and guide me..haha to help me not get in His way..sorry song playing I LOVE THIS SONG.. there is POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS! YES AMEN!

Its just in me.. to have Him in every moment of my life.. to always always always be thinking of Him first..not to get anything..yet He loves to give. So just start to focus on Him.. I believe a key is Luke 11:13. Not sure I answered this at all haha

Make a list of personal interactions when
you would not exercise these teachings.
Everything else.

Matt 7 - says to hear God's Word and do it -- or else it is of no benefit.
The Bible also has many promises that can be claimed in prayer.
2 Thess 2 reminds us (as does Christ in Matt 24:25-26) that God tells us things in the Bible so that we will not be deceived by the many schemes of Satan.
And the "sola scriptura" method of testing all doctrine and tradition against what the Bible says - keeps us from error.

What do you, for example, to put this scripture to practice in light of the OP?

God's word encourages us to reach out to others, to draw them into a relationship with God. Although I don't do it as often as I probably should, I try to make that one of my goals. I also see Jesus as the God who heals, and so I often reach out to pray for the sick. I also see it as important to not get angry with others and to live peaceably with people, so I try to keep my emotions under control. In addition to this, I do my best to live a pure life, free from uncontrolled desires.

That's an immense question. If I were to break it down on some kind of technical level, it involves trying to apply the best hermeneutic and exegetical principles to the reading of Scripture, to identify and comprehend what is being written and why. That itself is its own complex topic and conversation. But understanding what the text says and means (to the best that we can, of course, as fallible beings) then translates to how the text then reads us.

Scripture reads us, in that as we examine it, it examines us. So, for example, as a Lutheran I subscribe to the Law-Gospel Dialectic as a chief hermeneutical principle. What that means is that the Bible, broadly speaking, contains two kinds of words: Law and Gospel. Or put another way, commandments and promises. There is that which says "This is what should be done" or "This is what should not be done", such as loving our neighbor, don't bear false witness, not retaliating with violence, etc; that's the Law, what God says we are to do or not do. And there is that which says "This is given to you and for you", the forgiveness of sins, peace with God, the death and resurrection of Jesus; that's Gospel, good news, God's promises which are given away freely. To quote Martin Luther, "The Law says 'do this' and it is never done. The Gospel says 'trust this', it is already done."

So out of this hermeneutical principle I then see in Scripture how God commands what is good and right (the Law), and yet I don't do that. It is on that basis that Scripture calls me a sinner. And, then also then I see in Scripture God's promise and work which is freely given in Christ, in which I--sinner though I am--am rescued up into the arms of the loving Father who wraps me in the clean robes of Christ's righteousness. I am forgiven.

That is, a very broad thing, and then it gets nittier and grittier of course. The Law still says I am supposed to love my neighbor and be faithful to Jesus Christ as His disciple (etc), Jesus said "If you love Me, obey what I have instructed". So, then, I see also that the Law, though condemning me as a sinner, still instructs me how I ought to live now. Though imperfect and tainted my good works may be, Jesus still wants me to be out here caring about other people, loving them, feeding them, and being faithful to what He has called me to be in this world.

So as far as application goes: exegete and identify, and take care of the text, read it and let it read you. Because at the end of the day the whole point of the Bible is Jesus Himself. If the Bible isn't doing that, then there's a flaw somewhere in what we're doing, and that should cause us to challenge ourselves and to again approach the text with fresh eyes. And, for all these purposes, it certainly doesn't hurt to read the Bible while being informed by the historic views and commentaries and teaching of the Christian Church down through the ages. So, for example, I frequently make a point to find out how the ancient fathers have read and understood a passage, but I also have the Lutheran Confessions to provide structure through a cohesive confession of faith.

I guess a better way to ask is what have you don't for people you dislike lately? What is your attitude and mindset for those who don't share your beliefs? How are you contributing to society's health? How do you show you care for another person's spiritual well-being in conflict with yours?

How do you speak to people? Have you forgiven anyone lately especially those who you say you will never forgive?
If you are a loner, how do you apply god's word besides worship, study, and prayer?

"Physically apply"? Not sure what you mean...

It isn't so much that I apply God's word to my life, but that His Spirit does. In interactions with the people around me, in quiet moments alone with my own thoughts, in instances of choice between God's will and my own, the Holy Spirit "brings to remembrance" God's word, prompting me to conform myself, my thinking and conduct, to God's will expressed to me in His word. The Holy Spirit convicts me of sin (John 16:8), strengthens me in moments of temptation and trial (Ephesians 3:16; Philippians 2:13; Philippians 4:13), teaches me the deep truths of God (John 16:13, John 14:8; 1 Corinthians 2:10-16), comforts me in seasons of pain and sorrow (2 Corinthians 1:3-5; Psalms 46:1), and so on. I just reflect the results of all the Spirit does in me in how I live.

So, when I sit across from a friend at a local coffee shop, I consciously submit to God (Romans 6:13-22; Romans 8:14; Romans 12:1; 1 Peter 5:6; James 4:6-10; Luke 22:42; John 3:30), by faith trusting He will guide my thoughts and words to my friend, using me as His vessel to communicate Himself to my friend. I do the same thing when interacting with folks at my church, or the cashier at the grocery store, or my wife.

When I consider a book to read, or a movie to watch, or any form of entertainment, really, I do so in the light of Philippians 4:8, Ephesians 5:1-13, Psalms 101:1-4 (and others), submitting my choices to God's control and aligning them with the commands of these verses/passages.

When I become fearful, or anxious, or imagine things of others, creating narratives about them without any good basis in fact, or am tempted to selfishness, I recognize these things are not of God and forsake them, yielding myself to God's will and way, waiting by faith on Him to move me into better, Christ-centered thinking, feeling and behavior.

And so on.
