On the contrary, that is what we call obeying the Lord. The Lord used men to teach yes? They were His middle men so He can likewise use them to Forgive sins as He wanted. Your missing that filling I was speaking of in the other thread so of course you misinterpretate this verse:

"As the Father has sent me, even so I send you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained"

Um, He was talking with His 12 Apostles. The core of the Church. His Priests who will teach and pass on to their Successors. Surely you cannot think the Lord includes ones who believe a different doctrine to be in Communion with He and His Church now can you.

You 'Are' shoving it in our face by taking Our Communion. It's like you saying "I'm doing this and toooo bad if you disagree". If you can't respect us then have some for your Catholic mother next time you even dwell on the thought of going up there to recieve the Holy Eucharist.

DO you read? or just assume? DID I SAY I partook? NO...I didn't. Cause I was DEMANDED, NOT so nicely by ANYONE there not to. People said I couldn't take it cause of 'sin' in my life?? How bout the haterade they drank before speaking that way to someone THEY DIDN'T know. Anyway, that beside the point, I DID NOT partake NOR think of it.

AND you are WRONG in how you think of ME taking communion with MY Lord. I don't give a rip what your church 'teaches'...the BIBLE says I CAN take it and I DO! Thank you.

This does not say a man takes the place of God. The one that is misinterpreting is you.

I had no clue that caring about whether the Lords' Body and Blood will be consumed by a non believer thus creating Sacrilege was out of hate and not love for the Lord. You really need to stop thinking of yourself.

Were the Apostles taking the place of God when they performed Miracles? Nor do our Priests in Confession. He works through them.

There is a difference between what the apostles did as well as people that are alive today do and to quote someone else that posted here taking the place of God.

There are many that God uses to do His work. Many that God uses to perform miracles through. I have even been used by God in healing someone.

But there is a difference between being used by God and taking the place of God.

It isn't how it sounds. Literally taking the place of God, one would have to be God. Impossible. However allowing Him to use you as a physical substitute to Convey His Sacraments is an entirely different matter.

Just as God did the miracles through Peter and others, God does the forgiving through the priests. Nobody takes the place of anybody else. They are simply vessels for the Lord.

I understand. But 'peace' should first stick in the mind and heart of the person who's doing the throwing.

You know.. the whole 'let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me' ..kind of thing.

I'm at peace. It is in me.

If it wasnt I would tell you that there is a difference between being converted toChrist and being converted to your church.

And that is the point. It is what you as an individual find the Scriptures really teach.

When the RCC says that the Eucharist is the soul, body and divinity of Christ. It isn't what one inviduals find the the Scripture really teach but what has been taught from now 2000yrs and can be historically traced back to early Christianity and handed down through the ages through the Church. Not one individual.
