When Iwas in the hospital I was put on risperdal along with luvox ativan and ambien, After being on those meds for a few weeks I started to constantly smell a foul odor, I wouuld shower and scrub, but still could smell a foul odor, so I stopped all the meds, except for the ativan, and I no longer could smell the foul odor, so it was one of the other drugs causing this effect, then after further research on risperdal, I decided I would definetly not take that again.
That's my experience, I can't advise you what to do other than as much research as you can find out about a drug before starting it.
my current meds are ativan 1mg 4x day
a few vitamin and mineral drinks
and fish oil 3 capsules day (certified chemical free)
