it is the last book in the series, but the authors are writing pre-left behind books that sound really boring. I really don't care where the antichrist came from or whatever they are writing about. I don't recommend them. But if you want to read them then don't let me stop you. I don't really care and don't want to read them, but I bet there are some people that do so don't let me make that decision for you.icbeckyc said:Thanks for the tip. And I thought the Glorious Appearing was the last book. So there is still one more, The Rapture?I guess I assumed all that would be wrapped up in the Glorious Appearing.

If you thought they were bad how could you possibly read all twelve?Kazoo said:I've read the entire twelve. I hear there's a "prequel" in the works (or maybe it's already out . . . I dunno).
I don't mean to be overly-critical, but I didn't like the series. Plot development was mundane, characters one-dimensional, narrative overly-"preachy".
In fairness, Jenkins does a reasonably good job with dialogue.
The best I can say in regard to the books is that they were better than the subsequent motion pictures.
I'll stick with C. S. Lewis, thank ya. In regard to film, "The Matrix" was a whole lot more inspiring (from a Christian perspective) and better acted than were the strained efforts of Kirk what's-his-name.
If Christian fiction and Christian film continue to play to the lowest common denominator (as the "Left Behind" series does), audiences are going to eventually forget there once were Christian authors of real substance, e.g., Lewis, T. S. Eliot, John Donne, John Bunyan, et.al.
"Left Behind" should probably have been left alone.
