I've been reading the last book in the series for over a year now. I keep putting it down when I fall into a stupor, and then eventually pick it up again when I've had a few months to recover some brain cells.
You never recuparate brain cells:eek:

My daughter(in another state) and I read these together,by reserving them at our libraries 3 at a time. It was a blast discussing them by IM or phone each day,LOL! Neither of us works so as soon as we finished one,we went to the next, which gave her nightmares, but fortunately I only had strange dreams,LOL! We thought they were great! Too bad the movies are sooooooo lousy!

I have to say I agree with those of you who are critical of the series. They left a lot to be desired in terms of writing style, charaters and plot development.
I also found myself speed-reading just to get to the end - the only thing that kept me reading was wanting to see how they portrayed the return of Jesus, but I was disappointed. For me, the fact that everything revolved around a few central characters was unrealistic at best. To be quite frank, I think the authors gave in to the need to make momey. Why on earth have 12 books when there was probably only enough content for half that amount? The plots were so spun out.

By the end, I found myself worrying that some people might buy into the hype so much, that they would reply on the prophetic interpretations of the books rather that the Bible, particularly the last book. However, that said, to their credit, the gospel was clearly spelt out in every (?) book and so I am sure God will have used them for good and people will have been saved.

Still, they were onto something good but should have stuck to more depth and less books.

What's this about movies? Didn't know they had made any? If other christian movies about end times are anything to go buy, I bet they are cringe-worthy (sorry!).
