I used Mary Maxim's Premier sock yarn in Watermelon.

It has been unseasonably cold in the part of the country where I live, so I was happy to finish these mittens before the subzero weather subsided! I had a lot of fun using them to throw snowballs with my friends and they kept my hands very warm.

I have been working on crocheting flowers and plants since I travel and they don't need water.

These will survive my absence of a a few months:

The blue zinnias and the light pink tulip petals have wire in them. It adds a bit of difficulty to crochet around the wire.
