  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Anyone into Diablo II: LOD?

I've been playing that game for so long. Now i've balanced my life out better so i don't play it much anymore, but low lvl dueling is so much fun. My lvl 29 zon does over 7k lightning dmg and my lvl 34 charger does 5.8k physical dmg. I just need to work on my lvl 9 assn. She's only doing 813 dmg charged with 413 life. My other cool character is my lvl 35 smiter, he rules even most high lvls.

I got to like a lvl 30 necromancer and it just got to progressing was too slow and I had other games to play so I kinda quit. Then I got a new computer and reinstalled it, but played only for a few days then stopped.

Fun game. Just...too boring at times.

I had a paladin I that I took through Normal and up to Act V in Nightmare. It's great fun when you want a mindless game to play. Because I'm such a powergamer, I probably spent more time reloading to get good shop items and gem shrines than I did actually playing through the game. :D

Yes, lol. Diablo is probably not best for powergamers. So much stuff to collect and so little room to keep it in (can't even get all the best items in the game and keep them all I be), that the cosuming time would be astronomical.

Ya, for a while there is had 8 accounts, very organized with tonnes of items. I stopped playing for a while and many of them expired, fortunatly some of the best characters are still around.

I find the game only good for a short while if you play alone. If you play online it's so much more fun, especially pvp (player VS player).

One word Sacred, that game was a better game than diablo, and a lot funner in my opinion, besides the TP scrolls in the retail version had JRR Tolikens symbol on them if that alone didn't say that the game was made by true fantasy fans I don't know what would lol. and riding a hourse into combat was definate improvement over the diablo series

Give me Sacred any day, its better with the newer patches then it was initially released. Though I do enjoy a good round of Diablo 2 LOD. Lots of good mods out there that I've been meaning to play.
I prefer Diablo II over Sacred. Maybe I should give Sacred another try with a more updated patch - it was way buggy when my brother and I were playing.

Also, E3 is coming up soon, and I expect some sort of news about Diablo III.

Stuff like that makes fans hope. :) I'm in favor of a prequel - something more about Mephisto in his prime. From what I recall, there's not much info on that. I think it'd make a good game.

I'm playing Sacred with Sacred Plus and the 1.8.26 patch, and I must say, its the best I've ever seen it run. Really worth the downloads to play it with the new stuff. I'm also awaiting the expansion to it, Sacred: Underworld.

I too have heard rumors about a Diablo III in the making, but I think it would come after they finish making Starcraft: Ghosts, provided they ever finish that. From the screenshots, looks promising for Blizzards first FPS. For Diablo III though, I always seemed to think it would be based in hell, and you would track the prime evils down and take them out for good, so that the world can have peace, etc.

Dunno why though, hah.

Anyone ever play the Diablo clone "Darkstone" a while back? That was fun for a while...

That was just like Diablo, and like most games it got boring, like Diablo II did online, I thought about making money on Diablo II but that never panned out.

I never got d2. I won Diablo fair and square, and Diablo 2 starts out with the character who won the first game being posessed and destroyed. Well, *@#!$ that. I'm not wasting a lot of time playing a game if they're gonna declare that I didn't win after all.

Hehe, I felt miffed at the start of Baldur's Gate 2 because they took my equipment away; same thing in NWN:HoTU as well. :p

It's the cop-out way of furthering the plot/bridging the gap. I guess it's supposed to make you want revenge, or something like that...
