Anyone in a M.O.P.S. group?

I love my group. It is so helpful and the women(especially mentor moms) give such great advice.

Just wondering if anyone had a good experience with this group as well?

Our experience with MOP's was not so good. DD1 did settle after a while. However, after each session we would have an absolute monster of a child. We figured it was that she didn't like the forced separation from Mum and in her own little way decided we would pay for it. We eventually stopped in the interests of home harmony.
Here in our local Mops, the children were denied contact with their mother for the 2 hours that MOPS ran for. And I well remember one poor little girl who would cry her heart out for the entire 2 hours that Mum was away.
We didn't do MOPs with DD2 and if there are any more, we wont be doing it again.
Having said all that, if it works for you, excellent.

Our MOP's group is different. It is run for about 2 hours , but if a child is in need of her Mom than they are brought into the session. Our philospophy is there is no need for a hysterical baby and and even more stressed mom after the session is completed.

I had a bad experience with MOPS--I went to a couple of meeting, but 90% of what I was asked was "When are you going to start on baby #3?" and "Where do you go to church? Do you want to come to my church?"

Yes I recently started to attend MOPS in my area. I'm so thankful to have found it. Children that need mom are brought up or a helper comes and gets mom. I enjoy the fellowship.
