Anyone here write their own music?

I do. I write blackened death metal. YES that specifically. I can't write just regular death metal at all, I've tried but somehow it always turns out as a black/death metal hybrid. It's almost as if God designed my fingers to create such guitar riffs, it's weird. I play piano as well, but I can't write full complete songs on it, I've tried they end up getting half-done.

I've been playing music for nearly 18 years now, but only in the past year or so have I been putting together complete songs. I write Alt/Texas Country songs for a band that I lead here in Blue Ridge, and then when I'm sick of that I write Prog/Power Metal for myself. I love it all though!

I've independently released a few albums. I've never enjoyed any real income from it but I like the feeling of knowing that something I made will be around forever after I'm gone.
