I've been playing it regularly since Age 2. Not a bad game. People here at work were constantly talking about it, so I decided to check it out. It's actually a lot of fun. My nick in the game is Cozzie.

OK, basically...

You have an army. The aim is to get as high a ranking as possible. Your overall ranking is based on 'Strike ability', 'Defense ability', and 'Covert ability'.

You start off with one soldier (either Orc, Human, Dwarf or Elf). There is a link at the bottom of the page, you can click it once a day to receieve another troop, and as many people as you can get to click it per day are allowed, as long as not from the same internet connection. You can also spend money to receive more troops ona per day basis. So you build up troops.

Secondly, you can train your troops. You can train them to either defnse specialists, attack specialists, or covert specialists. A defense specialist operates at 250% efficiency, but can only defend. Similarly for an attack specialist. Covert specialists allow you to spy on enemies.

You recieve a certain amount of money per half hour, and you get more if you have more troops. You can also steal money from others by attacking them. You can then spend this money on training your soldiers, on uprading your defense or attack abilities, or on weapons. Weapons make a huge difference to your attack rating, and buying the most expensive you can buy is generally the best option on a value basis.

To attack people, you use 'attack turns'. You get one attack turn every half hour. When you attack someone, you either defeat them or not, depending on your strike action and their defensice action. As a general rule, whichever is higher, wins. If you win, you take a percentage of their money, depending on how much you beat them by, how many troops you and they have, and how many attack turns you used to attack them. You then use this money to buy more weaponry etc, then attack bigger and better enemies with more money, and work your way up the rankings ladder.

When you sign up, you have the option to join under a commander (you can join my army by clicking above). You benefit from their protection should you be attacked, and they benefit as for every two troops you recieve, they get an extra one.

Its just a good fun way to while away ten minutes every day, or however often you want to play it. The more often you play, the quicker you climb the rankings though, as if you don't use the money you build up every half an hour people will steal it from you!
