CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I guessed it because you said you were from "Delta" and I know that church you mentioned is not in South Delta. Hehe.
I was actually baptized as a baby at the United Church in Ladner, which is not quite Tswassen, but still considered "South Delta" to you folks! LOL I live in Vancouver now.

Tony Campolo was the co-founder of urbanpromise ministries here in Camden, NJ. I was in ministry with urbanpromise for a few years and am still involved with the people who work there. One of my roomates is an afterschool director for urbanpromise. Tony's a hoot! It's funny because I've met him a number of times and he never remembers my name - of course, because he probably meets tons of people! Anyways, he turns 70 in May and UrbanPromise will be holding a birthday celebration for him at their headquarters here in Camden.traingosorry said:I hear Tony Campolo is going to be speaking at South Delta Baptist soon! woohoo! I live in Vancouver but I've been to White Rock a few times.. my husband's company's main office is there I believe, we had to go there a buncha times.

Ya there sure are a lot of Churches, I just have no idea where these people are hiding. It's not that I'm really picky about associating with people with the exact same beliefs as me, but the public schools down there really need some praying for.
