I'm not from LA, but I live on Barksdale. ...and my Dad was from New Orleans and was an LSU grad. Welcome to the forums! If you see a blue tailed B-52 overhead, chances are 1 out of 10 of them will have me in it.

I will be near Shreveport soon... I was born in the New Orleans area, grew up in Luling, went to college in Ruston, at Louisiana Tech University. Also I attended Nicholls State University for one year in Thibodaux...

I just recently completed an internship at the Chi Alpa at the University of Louisiana @ Lafayette, and will be returning to Ruston next school year as a full-time campus pastor at LaTech with Chi Alpha...

I have a bunch of friends from the Shreveport area. I have been to Broadmoor A/G church and City Church... they are great places...

It's alright. It seems more western here than southern (ducks flying tomatoes and books). I'm from South Carolina.

I love living on base. The houses are nice and we don't have kids, so we don't have to worry about the schools here. I am glad we are here rather than other B-52 bases. Shreveport's about the smallest sized city that I like to live in. I'm looking forward to the Bossier Riverwalk. I don't ever go down to that area now because all that is there are casinos. I'm going to NO later this month and am looking forward to that.

I'm going down to Lake Charles in a couple of weeks for an interview. If anyone has any info about the area, I'd appreciate it!

I know some friends that will be in Lake Charles starting next school year. They are a couple that are pioneering a Chi Alpha Campus Ministry there at McNeese University. I know there is a huge church there called "Glad Tidings" that lots of folks go to. My grandparents actually attended there for a while when living in Lake Charles for work reasons.
